| went to bed but didn't nap. I lay staring at the ceiling with the tv on for background nose. The pain in my head

Grabbing my phone from the nightstand | read the text message my gran had sent an hour ago. She was inviting
| frowned. | would go for coffee before we had dinner. Maybe she wanted to spend ttogether just us. | still
had to tell her | was done with this whole situation. We were moving on, moving past it and hopefully we could

| quickly replied, stretched out my arms and got myself out of bed. Heading into the bathroom | washed my face
before grabbing one of Jakes jumpers and pulling it over my head.
| was starving and | was kicking myself for turning down that burger. | made my way downstairs. Jake was sat on
the sofa his head buried in his phone football playing on the tv.
"Hey". | spoke.
"Hey". He put his phone away patting the space next to him. "Did you sleep?".
| shook my head. "But my headache is gone and I'm starving".
"Wishing we went for that burger". He laughed. "We could still go grab something. Go through the drive-thru?".
"Is my dad still here?". | asked.

| had another gran out there. | had cousins and uncles and aunties.
"I think you should visit, and | think he was right when he said it may help you with your wolf".

A laugh fell from his lips as he kissed the top of my head. "Have a think about what
you want I'm going to grab my keys".
"No need". | grinned. "I want tacos".
"Then tacos it is".
| grabbed my shoes and headed for his truck.
"Do you know what we haven't had in ages". He spoke unlocking the truck.
"What's that?". | clipped my seatbelt into place as he started the engine. "A date".
"| still remember the date you tookon where-...".
"You hated it". He cutoff. "I remember and trust| won't make that mistake again".
"You were trying to impressweren't you". | grinned.
"Clearly you were more impressed with a burger and dirty fries".
"Always". | winked as he reversed out of the driveway and took off down the street.
