Chapter 125: Theresa Stone; End Of A Perfect Marriage.

"Thank you very much." Theresa smiled at the nurse as she took her small bag of medicine.

The instant she left the nurses' station, her smile faded. She wrapped the brown coat around her and walked to

the reception where Hector was waiting for her.

"Hey," Hector said, standing up. "How was it?"

She smiled, this tgenuinely, as she gestured to the small bag of medicine. “I got."

"Good, now | do hope you use them," Hector said, his brown eyes brightened with a smile.

"I will," she chuckled.

Hector had been talking to her on the phone when she felt a sudden wave rush all over her. Next thing she knew,

she was in a plain-looking room, with Hector by her side.

He had brought her flowers, he had made her laugh, and had stayed all through the night, keeping her company.

He made her forget everything-well, until now. The thought of being alone twisted her stomach into knots.

As if he read her mind, Hector moved closer to her. "Hey," he said, taking her hand. "You'll be fine."

Theresa was forced to look into those soft eyes, and her nerves disappeared. She nodded, a smile curving on her

lips.

"Should | follow you home? Keep you company?" Hector asked, concern filling his tone.

As much as she would love that; to have him to herself for the day, she couldn't do that. He had been with her

since and she couldn't keep him away from his work. She knew how important work was.

"I would be fine, Hector. Seriously."

"Are you sure? | could-"

"lI am sure, Hector." She interrupted him, placing her hand on his face trying to console him, but instantly

regretting it.

Hector looked into her eyes, and her stomach knotted, this time, out of desire. Quickly, she dropped her hand

and looked away, hiding the redness that had appeared on her cheeks.

Hector touched her face, the feel of his hand made her gasp. "Mi reina...."

But Theresa nudged it away. "You have work, Hector."

He dropped his hand, not concealing his disappointment. "I would wait until your driver arrives," he said firmly.

She knew she couldn't object, so she nodded, and together, they walked outside. She had sent Victor hlast

night and had called her own driver this morning.

As soon as they got outside, her green Porsche parked in front of her, and her driver, Rufus, stepped out of the

car. "Good morning ma'am."

"Hello Rufus," Theresa greeted and turned to Hector with a small smile. "It's time."

Hector opened the door for her. "Get hsafe and callwhen you need anything."

"Sure," Theresa slid into the car. "Bye," she waved at him.

"Call me. Bye," Hector said as Rufus drove away.

Theresa bit her lip as she tried not to look out the window. She sighed, sinking into the car. The instant she was

alone, her thoughts crushing out.

She shook her head, refusing to process all that had happened. And luckily, her phone rang providing the perfect

distraction. She reached for it in her bag and picked it up.

"Hello." Her voice was flat.

"Hello, Dr Stone. This is Regina, calling to remind you of your doctor's appointment."

Theresa's heart flipped and her body started to shake. Maybe the doctors were right, she shouldn't be alone.

"Dr Stone? Are you there?"

"Yes, yes," she answered, dabbing away the sweat that had suddenly gathered on

her forehead with her coat. "I am here."

"Okay," Regina said, "so your appointment-"

"Cancel it," she said, interrupting.

"Alright, ma'am," Regina said in a professional tone. "When will be a more suitable-"

I'm canceling permanently. Theresa interrupted again. "I wouldn't be coming back for..."

Regina paused before she spoke again. "Does this have anything to do with a staff member? Are you dissatisfied

with our services?"

"Oh, no no," Theresa said quickly, "It's not that... It's personal. Don't worry, I'll call Dr Sharma myself

"Alright, Dr Stone."

"Yeah," she said, ending the call.

There was no point visiting a fertility center when she was done with Wills. God, she had been ready to do

everything to make their marriage work.

But he...

God...

Theresa dropped the phone, and her stomach suddenly tightened as yesterday's thought flooded her chest.

Quickly, she reached for the nervous-control medicine in the small bag and swallowed it without water.

She clenched her fists, waiting for the medicine to take effect. Slowly, it reached the corners of her body, and

she breathed.

She lifted her head, just as Rufus got to her garage.

"We're home, ma'am," Rufus said.

"Thanks," Theresa replied, took her bag and made her way to the elevator. She clicked the button and watched

the machine hum to life.

The instant the doors to her penthouse opened, the dread settled in her stomach. The place was empty and sad,

and she could still smell Wills's cologne somewhere around.

She sank into the chair, kicked her shoes off and waited for her nerves to steady. "Fuck!" she cursed as she

threw one heel against the wall.

"You don't need that, baby."

Theresa sprang to her feet, turning towards Wills. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

Wills was at the mini bar, pouring himself a glass of wine. He picked up the glass, sipped, and then walked over

to her." Baby, I-"

"Get out!" Theresa roared, disgusted by the smirk on his face.

Wills sipped his drink again. "Baby, this is my house too."

"Not anymore!" she snapped, even though that made her chest hurt. "We are done. You have to leave."

"No, we are not," he said, his voice soft and almost convincing. "I love you, Resa. Yes, | made a mistake, but I'm

still in love with you."

If she hadn't heard the terrible things he said behind her back, she might have believed him. "No, A mistake is

forgetting to book flowers, not lying and having a child outside our marriage! That was not a mistake, Wilson."

He dropped the glass and moved closer to her. "We can-"

She flinched, running immediately to the kitchen and pulling out a knife. "Stay the fuck away from me."

Wills frowned. "Con baby, are you really doing this?"

She waved the knife. "Don't test me. | know where to cut that will end your life!"

He paused, observing her.

“Don't test me, Wilson. Leave! | will send your belongings tomorrow. | already called Janice, she's on her way

with the divorce papers!" She lied.

She watched as the smirk in his eyes changed into rage. "You bitch!"

But she was prepared for the switch and she stood her ground. "Try me, Wilson!

Try me!"

He let out a long, disgusted laugh. "You've always been a pathetic bitch! I'm so glad | never gave you a child!"

His words stung but Theresa refused to show it. "Just go."

"I'm coming for half of everything you own!" Wills roared, his eyes gleaming with madness.

She chuckled. "You signed a prenup dear, nothing is in your name."

For a split second, she enjoyed the shock in his eyes before the anger returned. "You'll die alone! Nobody will

ever love you!"

"Get out, or I'm calling security!"

Wills scoffed and threw the wine glass against the door, making her flinched. "I'm coming back for you!" He

threatened as

he left the room.

With the knife still in her hand, Theresa ran to the door and bolted it behind him.

She slid against the door, the pain rushing to her.

It was over. Her perfect marriage was over.

Tears stung her eyes and she let them fall. When they dried, she crawled to the opened bottle of wine and

downed it, The wine eased her nerves and in no tshe was tipsy.

She crawled to her phone and was about to dial Janice, her attorney, but called Hector instead.

"Mi reira," Hector said, his voice was soft and it healed her almost immediately.

"I don't want to be alone," she drawled, partly out of sadness, partly out of tipsiness.

"Sendyour address, I'm on my way."

She told him and he hung up.

Sminutes later, Hector was knocking on her door. Theresa opened it and he

walked in. His eyes widened when he saw the bottle of wine, and he took it away

from her.

"What are you doing?” he asked, shocked.

Fueled by desire or alcohol, Theresa pulled Hector closer and kissed him.

Hector stepped back slightly, his breathing uneven. "Theresa..."

“Shh...” she said, kissing him on the neck.

He moaned, his hand on her waist, yet he still protested. "I can't... Mi reina..."

"You want me, | want you," Theresa said as her mouth claimed his.

She paused, stepped back, and began to strip. Hector's eyes widened. He was

too stunned to speak, but she saw the desire in his eyes mixed with hesitation.

"Make love to me, Hector. Until | forget my pain."

Naked, she walked over to him.

Hector clutched to her, taking her hardened nipple in his mouth.
