A gruesome sound of flesh being cut apart filled the air. Out of nowhere, Gage stabbed Edgar’s chest

with the knife. Blood oozed from the wound and dripped to the floor.

“Huh…” Edgar stood frozen, staring in disbelief at the knife lodged in his chest. He never thought his

beloved brother would attack him with such ruthlessness.

Everyone in the banquet hall was shocked. Who would have thought that Gage, who had been calm

and smiling, would attack Edgar? This was no longer a simple drunken fight.

“You… how could you …” Edgar stammered. He wanted to say more, but the blood gushed from his

mouth. Then, his body swayed, and he slumped to the floor.

“Edgar, don’t worry. The blade missed your heart by just an inch. It won’t take your life for now. Just lie

still and don’t make any trouble,” Gage said calmly.

He took out a handkerchief and wiped the blood off his fingers. His demeanor was strangely calm, as if

his actions didn’t matter.

Christopher was furious. “Bastard! How could you? Edgar tried to reason with you, and you dare attack

him? You’re out of your mind! Men, seize this traitor!”

“Yes, sir.” At his command, a group of armed soldiers stormed in. Unfazed, Gage threw the

handkerchief onto the floor.

Suddenly, the bodyguards near the wall sprang into action. Their movements resembled those of wild,

fierce tigers, nimble and relentless. They pounced on their prey with calculated precision.

Overwhelmed and outnumbered, the armed soldiers stood no chance. They were eventually subdued,

one after another. The situation changed in the blink of an eye.

“What?” Christopher was astonished by the sudden turn of events. He hadn’t expected so many

intruders at the banquet. He suspected that some guests must have been bribed.

“Gage! Do you even realize what you’re doing? This is rebellion!” Caden’s anger boiled over, and he

glared at his brother.

Gage remained composed. “You taught me survival of the fittest, Caden. We can rebel if we have the

strength, right?

Caden warned him, ‘You’re playing with fire! Surrender now with your men, or you’ll regret it!”

He thought, “Do you think the Murray residence is some kind of a playground where anyone can cause

trouble?”

“Gage! One wrong move, and you’ll regret it forever. Do you have a death wish? You’re causing a

ruckus at the Murray residence!”

“As long as there is room for negotiation, you should stop. Turn in your weapons, or face the

consequences!”

“Fool! You’re nothing but a fool!”

The Murray family grumbled and lamented their situation. Once a symbol of unity and wealth, the

Murray family was now torn and broken. Each member questioned the cost of their actions.

Gage remained resolute. “Look around. I’m in control now, and everything is at my command.”

Caden scoffed, “Hmph! Do you think you can take over the entire Murray residence with just a handful

of people? It’s a pipe dream! Men, capture the intruders!”
