An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1262

Tyler stood out among his. peers. What others worked their ass off for years to achieve, he could easily

attain it without breaking a sweat.

He had always believed himself to be the chosen one, born to be king, a supreme one to rule over all

humanity. It wasn’t until this moment that he finally understood that there was always someone better

and more talented.

His talent and achievements, which he had always taken pride in, amounted to nothing in Dustin’s

presence.

“How ignorant I have been.” Still reeling from the shock of defeat, a bitter smile spread out on Tyler’s

face. At that moment, something within him collapsed, and he lost every last bit of his fighting spirit. He

was left with nothing but despair.

He had led a life of constant success. This was his only defeat. But this defeat had totally crushed him.

“You’ve lost. Hand me the treasure map.” Dustin walked up to him and looked down at Tyler. Tyler was

silent as he lay on the ground, looking up at the vast, blue sky. His eyes gradually lost focus, and he

finally stared lifelessly up.

“He’s dead?” Dustin raised a brow in astonishment. The punch he threw earlier on had not been lethal.

With Tyler’s cultivation, he should have been able to endure it.

But now, his vitality was completely drained. He looked nothing more than a lifeless corpse. “He can’t

even withstand such a small setback? What a waste of his talents.” Dustin shook his head.

There was no denying that Tyler was a rare talent with a bright future. Unfortunately, his entire life had

been smooth sailing, and he had never encountered any obstacles. Now that he was suddenly faced

with one, he could not handle it, resulting in his death.

Dustin crouched down and began rummaging through Tyler’s dead body. In the end, he came up with a

roll of parchment. Dustin unrolled it, and the treasure map was revealed.

Dustin now had two of the three treasure maps belonging to the Harmon family. Once he got the last

one, he could complete the map and locate the immense treasure. In the past, he had never cared for

riches. But now, his standpoint has changed.

If he were to avenge his mother and seek justice for her, he would need to build up his forces and

establish power and influence of his own. And to do that, he needed all the riches he could get.

“Ty? Ty!” Arthur rushed up to his grandson’s body with a stagger. Then, he began wailing in utter

misery. The rest of the Grant family mourned his death, too. “Logan, how should we deal with them?

Shall we just get rid of them all?”

Austin approached Dustin, making a sideways motion with his thumb across his throat.

“The Grants are an influential family. If we kill them just like that, there is bound to be unrest among the

other prestigious and powerful families.

“Things will get messy then.” Dustin shook his head lightly.

“Then what should we do? We can’t just let them go, can we?” Austin looked eager to have a go at

them.

“We can’t kill them, but we can invite them to West Lucozia. And then, we’ll see to it that our guests

aren’t allowed to leave,” Dustin said lightly.

“Oh? That’s a great idea! Let’s do that!” Austin’s eyes lit up. West Lucozia was the Rhys’ home ground.

They would have peace of mind if they brought the Grants to West Lucozia and held them captives

there.

If war ever broke out, they could even be sent out as a diversion to reduce casualties. It’d be perfect.

“The Grants… are done for …”

When they saw Arthur being captured, everyone knew there was no way of turning things around for

the Grants anymore. What had once been the leader of the Tremendous Three, a family that garnered

reverence from everyone, was no more. The sun had finally set upon them.

Their glory and splendor would all be washed away with time, eventually vanishing into nothing.
