When the black cloth fell, a stir swept through the crowd. They were astonished to discover that the iron cage

contained a ferocious beast-a creature resembling a tiger but with a much larger build.

It had pitch-black fur that emitted a metallic sheen and two long protruding fangs. Each was about a foot in length,

resembling sharp swords. The claws on its paws extended like steel talons with traces of blood and flesh clinging to

them.

It looked extremely intimidating, sending shivers down the spines of the onlookers. Fortunately, the beast remained

in a deep slumber, displaying no signs of aggression.

“Godfather, this is an Onyxclaw that I captured from the ancient forests of the eastern frontier. It is the king of

beasts and is extremely ferocious.

“It’s not only powerful, but its fur is also incredibly tough, immune to blades and bullets. It’s truly a rare creature.

“It took me quite the effort to capture this creature successfully. Do you like it?” Anders declared loudly as he

patted the Onyxclaw’s head.

“Well done! My son is indeed a courageous man to be able to capture such a rare and formidable beast. I’m

pleased.” Seamus laughed heartily.

“As expected of the Veros Warrior. It’s incredible that he was able to capture an Onyxclaw to keep as a pet!”

“Who else in Oakvale could do what he did?”

The guests showered Anders with praises. While traditional birthday gifts consisted of gold, silver, antiques, and the

like, Anders had presented a rare beast as a gift. This unexpected choice highlighted his exceptional talents.

“Godfather, legend says that an Onyxclaw has spiritual abilities and is capable of distinguishing between good and

evil. It can protect you if you keep it by your side,” Anders explained.

“Oh? Is that so?” Seamus was surprised.

“If you don’t believe me, you can try it out,” Anders said with a smile.

“And how should I do that?” Seamus was curious.

“It’s simple. I’ll open the cage later and release the Onyxclaw. It could detect a wicked person’s presence

immediately, “Anders answered.

“Release the Onyxclaw?” Seamus raised an eyebrow. He was hesitant.

“Isn’t that too risky? It’ll be bad if it loses control and harms the guests.”

“There’s no need to worry, Godfather. I’ve tamed the Onyxclaw. Unless it encounters an extremely treacherous

bastard, it won’t harm anyone. Besides, with me here, it wouldn’t dare act out of line.” Anders was confident.

“What do you all think?” Instead of responding directly, Seamus turned his attention to the crowd.

“It won’t hurt to try. It’s a rare opportunity for us to see such an exotic beast.”

“I agree. With the Veros Warrior here, I’m sure we’ll be safe.”

“Sir Mosey, since the beast has spiritual abilities, it might even unveil a few wrongdoers.”

The crowd expressed their support. While they’d seen plenty of treasure, it was the first time they’d seen an exotic

beast of its kind. Since they had the chance to experience something new, they were unwilling to pass it up.

After all, there were numerous guards present, and they were Dragonmarsh’s strongest protectors. No matter how

ferocious the beast was, they believed that the creature wouldn’t create much trouble.

“Alright, since everyone seems interested, let’s give it a try.”

Seamus nodded with a smile. “Anders, open up the cage and let the guests have a closer look. But be sure to

ensure their safety at all times and prevent anyone from getting hurt.”

“Understood.” Anders answered and immediately asked for someone to unlock the cage.

After the cage opened, he took out a vial and twirled it in front of the beast’s nose. Soon, a faint green smoke

emanated from the vial, wafting slowly through its nostrils.
