The two women glared at each other. They did not take Jayden’s words seriously. Sheila and Roxanne

saddled up their horses. After putting on the gears, they led their horses to the racetrack.

One horse was black, while the other was white. Both were the complete opposite. Sheila’s and

Roxanne’s friends stood on either side, facing each other.

“All the best, Sheila! I know you can win this!” Vivian cheered from the sidelines. Evan was confident,

too. “Gale is a seasoned champion. He can’t be compared to any other horses!”

“You’re right! As long as he performs as usual, he can win this!” the others said. Dustin remained silent

the whole time. He was actually quietly judging the horses. He could see that Gale was indeed superior

to Midnight Shadow.

But of course, the rider’s skill needed to be considered, too. Sheila had years of experience. As long as

she made no mistakes, her chances of winning were high. On the other side, Elena asked excitedly,

“Dahlia, which of these two horses do you think will run faster?”

“I don’t know much about horses, so I can’t tell,” Dahlia answered, shaking her head. She had gone to

the horse ranch for two reasons. One was for fun, and the other was to talk business with Jayden.

Watching the horserace was purely for entertainment.

“It’s okay if you can’t tell. Just make a guess,” Elena replied with a smile. “I’m guessing the black horse,

then,” Dahlia said casually. In an instant, Elena felt competitive. ” Okay! I guess the white horse will

win!”

Both horses were great. But Elena preferred Gale simply because he was more beautiful. Then, both

Sheila and Roxanne had gotten on their horses. They rode to the starting point and were ready for the

race to start.

Jayden approached Roxanne and smoothed Midnight Shadow’s mane. Roxanne, Midnight Shadow is

an aggressive horse. “Be careful when you ride.”

“Got it!” Roxanne responded. “The same goes for you, Sheila. Be careful. Remember, friendship comes

first, and competition is secondary.”

Jayden turned to Sheila and patted Gale. Although it was a simple action, Dustin frowned at seeing

that. Sheila nodded. “Thank you for your concern, Jayden.”

“Alright, let’s stop talking. Are you girls ready?” Jayden stepped away from the horses. After seeing

them nod, he yelled, “Go!”

Sheila and Roxanne simultaneously gave their horses a nudge as soon as he yelled. In an instant, the

two horses charged forward. There was almost no. difference in speed between them. The race was a

1000-meter sprint. From the start, Sheila and Roxanne pushed their horses to full speed.

The two horses ran very fast, competing with each other fiercely. Neither of them was willing to fall

behind. The two riders concentrated on racing, too. They did not dare to lose focus.

As the horses galloped, their bodies moved up and down rhythmically. Everyone could see that they

were demonstrating their skillful technique.

“Go, Sheila, go!” Vivian and the others shouted, excited. Their group of friends were equally thrilled.

They cheered, “Come on, Roxanne! You’ve got this!” Amidst their cheering, the two horses ran even

faster.

“Haha! Gale is leading!”

After covering about half the distance, Gale had slowly taken the lead. He ran ahead and left Midnight

Shadow behind. At the sight of that, Vivian and the rest grew excited. As long as Sheila and Gale

maintained this pace, they would definitely win this race.

“Gale can’t take it anymore. It looks like he’ll lose,” Dustin commented suddenly. With his sharp eyes,

he could see that Gale’s eyes were bloodshot.

Upon hearing his words, Vivian snapped, “Excuse me, what are you talking about? Gale obviously has

the upper hand. There’s no way he’ll lose.”

“Hmph! Don’t comment if you know nothing about this. Otherwise, you’re just embarrassing yourself,”

Evan said, looking at Dustin with disdain.

“He’s right! It’s fine if you don’t cheer for Sheila, but how could you spout nonsense? What’s your

deal?” the others chimed in. Everyone was displeased with what Dustin had said.

Right then, something happened on the racetrack. They were only 100 meters away from the finish

line. But Gale let out a painful neigh.

Suddenly, his legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground. Because of the inertia, Sheila was thrown

off the horse’s back.
