Jayden sneered. “Look around you. Everyone here follows my orders. If you act recklessly, you’ll be

shot!”

“Mr. Rhys, bullets stray. Just give up,” Diego bragged. He knew the folks in Dragonmarsh often fought

among themselves and began to enjoy the show.

“Rhys, if you want to stay alive, surrender now. Otherwise, you’ll regret it!” Vivian and her arrogantly.

group declared “Jayden, you’re playing with fire,” Dustin warned.

He added, “Out of respect for General Murray, I don’t want violence. Leave now, and we can forget

what happened. But if you keep protecting Diego, I won’t show you mercy.”

“Mercy?” Jayden laughed and thought Dustin was a fool. “Dustin, who do you think you are to threaten

me? I can kill you with just a word!”

He snapped his fingers, and all the soldiers behind him pointed their guns at Dustin. “Now, kneel!”

Jayden ordered, pointing down confidently.

“What did you say?” Dustin remained unfazed.

“Are you deaf? I said kneel-”

Before Jayden could finish, Dustin had grabbed his face and lifted him. Jayden’s face twisted like he

was caught in a spider’s web, rendering him speechless.

“How dare you!”

“Release Mr. Murray!”

The others were furious but didn’t dare do anything with Jayden as a hostage.

“I can end you as easily as picking a flower. I have no reason to kneel,” Dustin said while grabbing

Jayden’s face with one hand. He despised those who groveled to outside powers.

“Dustin! You’re committing a crime for going against the general’s family!” Jayden threatened in pain. “I

warn you, let me go now, or you’ll pay for this with your life!”

“As a descendant of the general’s family, you’re nothing but a pathetic weakling, a disgrace. Your father

obviously didn’t teach you a thing, so I will!” Dustin stated before punching Jayden in the stomach.

Jayden screamed in agony. He doubled over and nearly vomited. But Dustin’s hand prevented it, and

Jayden struggled, choking and coughing. His face turned red from the suffering.

“I… I’ll kill you! I swear, I’ll kill you!” Jayden seethed with hatred, his calm demeanor replaced by anger

and pain.

“Is that so?” Dustin chuckled, still holding Jayden’s face with one hand and repeatedly hitting his

stomach with the other.

Each punch was harsh, and Jayden cried in pain, convulsing uncontrollably. He was even losing control

of his bladder. At that moment, Jayden was silenced.
