flowers every other day. The wedding planning was so lavish and detailed it was beyond compare! It must be

costing his family an absoloute fortune. | was being a pain in the ass, | knew that, but by seeing things online

Miles was not the sangry guy he had been in treatment, or at least not with me. He was apparently willing

to prove himself to be a good and decent mate. And, as much as | may be missing Jacob, | was not going to

complain about that. On the few times | have visited their pack, | could see how beautiful it was, and Miles had

told me, if there were things | could see that | would like to change when he becAlpha, | would have free

rein to make alterations. This man was easily becoming my dream man. He was givingthe freedom to be

technically was now. And the sickening thing was they both looked happy. Hand in hand so often, eyes locked,

As | returned hfrom the treatment center in the afternoon, after working an additional shift, | happened to

run into Jacob while he returned from his border patrol duties. His eyes fell onthe moment our paths crossed,

and a dark smirk spread across his face. "Married off to an Alpha, yet he is still making you work?" he sneered,

turning my news of a chosen mate into what felt like a joke.

All my hopes of my upcoming nuptials making him feel inferior, and feel deflated at losingwere slipping from

"lI am not married yet, Jacob." | said coldly, knowing it was not the best comeback, but also | was unsure what to
