Forty minutes later, Rachel placed the soup and the main course on the dining table. After taking off her apron,
Rachel went upstairs to inform David that the food was ready.
As the study’s door was ajar, David’s figure could be vaguely seen from the gap.
David was seated on the chair with a cold expression on his face as he stared at the computer in front of him.
After staring at David for a while, Rachel slowly opened the door.
When David heard the sound of the door opening, he lifted his eyes and looked at the door with a cold expression

“What are you doing up here?” David asked as he put down the file in his hands and rose quickly to his feet as he

Rachel let out a smile and replied, “It’s just a small injury. I’m still able to move around.”
“Give me a moment.” David leaned over and planted a gentle kiss on Rachel’s forehead.
Rachel nodded and said, “Go ahead. There’s no need to hurry.”
