Chapter 1864:
Elyse nodded, her eyes following his movements. She noticed that he seemed more mature, more fatherly.
After the doctor and nurse had confirmed that Elyse was fine and left, Driscoll and the nannies cin with two
small cribs.
Driscoll announced, “The babies don’t have names yet. Mr. Owen wanted to wait until you were awake to name
them. For now, we've been calling the girl Angel and the boy Pumpkin.”
Elyse looked at her babies, her heart swelling with love. She gently caressed Angel's cheek, feeling its warmth.
She whispered lovingly, “Little ones, I'll protect you and make sure you grow up safe and sound.”
There was a knock at the door.
Everyone looked up as Theo entered, saying, “I need to discuss something about Kieran with both of you. Do you

Jayden responded, “Please move the babies to the adjoining room.”
Following his directions, Driscoll and the nannies wheeled the cribs into the next room.
Theo stepped aside, allowing his assistant to bring in several bags of baby supplies and set them down on a
nearby table.
“For the kids,” Theo explained.
Elyse nodded in gratitude. “Thank you. What's the news about Kieran?”
Theo's expression turned grave. “Last night, Kieran took his own life out of shame. Our investigation with Judy’s
husband finally uncovered Judy's body, confirming Kieran’s involvement in her murder.”
Elyse gasped, shocked. “Kieran killed Judy? But weren't they siblings?”
“Yes, they were.” Theo sighed. “But it seems Kieran harbored an unhealthy obsession for Judy. He managed to
keep it hidden. After she married according to her family’s wishes, she began to drift away from Jayden and
stopped loving him.”
Theo glanced at Jayden, who frowned in response.
“Why look at me? | had no affection for her. She was unstable; I've never known anyone so reckless.”
Theo chuckled softly and continued, “After she married, she soon becpregnant. A few months postpartum,
Kieran visited her and discovered that her feelings had changed. He realized her affections were not exclusive to
Jayden; she was capable of loving other men, but she had no love for him. This revelation deeply shocked him.
When he confronted her, she becaware of his unhealthy obsession. It’s likely that she completely rejected
him then, which, in his distress and anger, drove him to commit murder.”
Jayden nodded, absorbing the story. “I understand the gist, but how did you notice Kieran’s hostility towards me
in the first place?”
Theo explained, “Judy’s husband is my business partner. After her disappearance, he frequently discussed his
suspicions with me, believing Kieran was involved but lacking proof.”
He paused, then added, “While assisting him in gathering evidence, | noticed Kieran'’s intentions toward your
family. Eventually, as you know, | intervened on your behalf to handle Kieran, ensuring he couldn’t harm any of
you.”
Elyse listened intently, still reeling from the revelations.
After a moment, she asked, “What will happen to Judy's child?”
“The Fosters are interested in taking him in, but it ultimately falls to Judy's husband to decide. He's a boy, so
whichever family he ends up with, he’s likely to be well cared for,” Theo responded.
Elyse remarked, “It's better for the boy to stay with his father than be left without either parent.”
