Chapter 705
Marguerite, unable to control herself, stepped forward and grabbed Yuna's shoulders, her voice tight with
urgency.
"Yuna! What do you mean by that? Did you have anything to do with Penelope's death?"
"| told you no! Don't you dare try to pin this on me!"
Yuna's shrill voice made Marguerite's ears ring.
In that moment, Marguerite lost control. She slapped Yuna across the face, and the two of them broke into a
furious scuffle.
Marguerite felt a burning pain on her cheek. Violet, clutching her stomach, hurried forward to intervene, shouting
towards the doorway, "Someone help! Ms. Lockwood is going to strangle Marguerite! Somebody!"

In the midst of their tussle, Linda emerged, pushing Marguerite and Violet aside to shield Yuna, her voice filled
with indignation.
"Marguerite! Can you stop picking on Yuna? She's so fragile right now, she can't take any more stress!"
Linda was well aware of the news that Yuna was set to inherit Poppy Petal Fragrances, which made her fearless in
facing Marguerite.
"Marguerite didn't start this! Yuna was the one who cat her!" Violet immediately defended Marguerite.
"Mr. Winston isn't here, and this is how you treat Yuna? Just you wait, I'll tell Mr. Winston everything!"
"Go ahead and tattle then. We've done nothing wrong!"
Violet was unfazed, confident that they hadn't initiated the confrontation.
Linda scoffed, helping a seemingly traumatized Yuna away, muttering curses under her breath.
Marguerite, however, was still caught up in the harsh words Yuna had hurled at her, unable to shake them off.
Violet looked at Marguerite with concern. "Marguerite, are you okay? Does anything hurt?"
"My face hurts," Marguerite managed a weak smile as a wave of pain hit her.
Upon closer inspection, Violet gasped at the sight of five distinct finger marks on Marguerite's face.
"Ms. Lockwood really went for it! Marguerite, hang on. I'll get you an ice pack!" Violet quickly returned with an
ice pack wrapped in a towel, gently applying it to Marguerite's face.
"Don't worry, Marguerite. Mr. Winston won't just take Linda's word for it."
Taking the ice pack from Violet, Marguerite looked at her with a complicated gaze.
"Violet, what do you think? Did Yuna really see a ghost, or was it all just a hallucination?"

"Marguerite, con, there are no such things as ghosts!"
"But if it was a hallucination, Yuna was checked at the hospital earlier, and they found nothing wrong with her."
Violet was frustrated. "It's like attracting what you fear the most. The more she fears, the more it haunts her. Do
you really think Ms. Lockwood's behavior is normal? When my grandpa passed away, | used to see him in my
dreams. It was heartbreaking, not scary!"
Exactly, why was Yuna scared?
And why did she mention not finding evidence of her killing Penelope?
Most importantly, why did Yuna ask her where she was on the day of Penelope's accident?
Could it be that Yuna was at the scene that day?
So many questions swirled in Marguerite's mind, she couldn't hold back any longer and immediately took out her
phone to call Abbey.
