Chapter 1361
"Lydia, do we really have to end up as enemies?" Quincy's voice faltered as he looked into her eyes, seeing
nothing but coldness.
His heart grew colder with every passing second. How he longed for the past, when Lydia's gaze was filled with
warm, fierce love, like the midday sun that wrapped him in its comforting heat. But now, everything had
changed. Lydia gave a mocking smile. "This is the path you chose, Quincy. You made your decision, and now you
want to backtrack? It's pointless. We're adults. You can't have it all."
The moment he chose to follow his mother's wishes and kept meeting with Tiffany, any hope for them was lost.
Lydia wasn't the type to tolerate her husband accepting a 'sister' from outside their marriage, and she certainly
wouldn't stand by while her mother-in-law plotted to shove a mistress into her husband's life.

If someone wanted to live that life, they could but she wasn't going to make herself miserable for it.
"But Lydia, | chose you. I'm having the rumors cleared up online, and I'll handle things with my mom. Can we just
go back to how things were?" Quincy pleaded.
Lydia plucked a small branch from a nearby tree, placing it in his hand. "Can you put this branch back where it
cfrom? You can't. A broken mirror can't be fixed. We're done, Quincy. Take your little mistress and leave."
She felt exhausted by it all. Love and marriage were nothing but illusions, like chasing a mirage. From now on,
she never wanted to deal with men again.
Quincy made a move to follow her, but Tiffany clung desperately to his arm, using all her strength to keep him
rooted in place.
"Quincy, please don't go! You've been beaten up enough. Don't let them humiliate you anymore!" she cried out,
clutching his leg as she fell to the ground, wailing in pain.
Mr. Fay had had enough. He turned to chase after Lydia, worried that seeing this scene might reopen her
wounds. Eugene followed closely behind.
At the front gate, only Quincy and Tiffany remained.
Quincy bent down, gripping her chin tightly, his eyes cold as ice. "Tiffany, you'll go to any lengths to drive a
wedge between us, won't you? Did my mom send you here?"
"No, it wasn't your mom. It was my idea. | didn't want you to get hurt. Quincy, look at your face! You've been
beaten badly. It must hurt so much Tiffany whimpered, reaching out to touch the bruises on his face.
Quincy grabbed her wrist and

twisted it back, increasing the pressure until her face twisted in pain. At first, she tried to control her expression,
but the pain soon
becunbearable. For a moment, she thought he might break her bones.
Finally, Quincy let her go. "You know my heart only belongs to Lydia. | will never accept you. You should stop
using these underhanded tactics f my parents like you so much, let
them marry you. | won't give you any kindness, so you'd better think
carefully."
There was no way he would ever marry Tiffany, and even if he did, he wouldn't touch her. So what was she even
hoping to gain?
