you to check in.”
“Understood. Get the car. We’ll leave shortly!’ Landon gave the order.
But he kept the truth from Lauren to avoid causing her worry. He simply told her he had to
go somewhere and might not return home that night. So he told her to go to sleep without
waiting for him.
“I’ll wait for you to come home before I go to sleep,’ she responded, walking him to the
