Chapter 147 -DAMON- A smile formed on my lips as I stared at Clara who was still sleeping peacefully on the bed.

I gently closed the door behindbefore walking towards the bed and sitting down next to her.

"Why do you stress yourself so much?" I murmured to myself as I caressed her face. She always wanted to help others especiallyand I just wished when she needed my help, I would be there to help her as well.

She groaned slightly before she slowly opened her eyes and stared up atwith those big hazel eyes that I loved so much.

I leaned down and placed a kiss on her nose before placing another one of her lips.

"Did I wake you?" I questioned softly and she shook her head.

"I was waiting for you to get back. Clay down with me" She toldand I didn't need to be told twice before climbing into bed with her.

"I missed you" I murmured as I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer.

She let out a cute giggle as she stared up at me.

"You were only gone for an hour, Damon," She murmured.

"Yet every minute felt like an hour towhenever I'm away from you. Let's just stay in this room together, I don't need anyone or anything else but you" I told her as my arms tightened around her body.

"You know we can't. You'll becthe Alpha King soon and..." go far "If it's because of that then I'll renounce the throne then and I could you away from here and build a family together. Away from the , the danger, away from everything. That's the kind of life I want for you, our child and our future children. A peaceful life" I revealed and she went quiet for a while till she pulled away from my hold so she could stare atproperly.

"We should fill you up with food before we leave” I murmured as I caressed her hair and she let out a sigh.

"I cannot eat before an ultrasound, Damon" She toldand I tilted my head.

"Okay then but immediately after the test, we are getting food" "Goddess, you're going to turninto a whale if you keep feedinglike this She grumbled.

"It doesn't matter what you turn into, as long as our child is healthy, you're healthy and I love you. Let's go get dressed" After saying that, we laid there for a few minutes before we got out of bed.

We had our baths, got dressed and Clara wouldn't let us leave till I ate breakfast. In her words, I don't eat well enough.

Afterwards, we got into the car and headed towards the hospital.m grabbed onto her hand and gave it a light squeeze as I could feel how nervous she was. "It's going to be okay" I murmured then leaned down and placed a kiss on her lips before pulling her close.

Soon, we got to the hospital and Clara had to take a bunch of tests so we could 3/4 16:05 Fri, Sep 20 GBG.

They said the test results will take a while to cout and I was tom excited, to wait so I suggested we take the ultrasound without the results. We were immediately led into the radiology department.

She was getting old but she was the one who handled all my mother's pregnancy and therefore, she was the only one I trusted with Clara. her "Are you ready baby?" I questioned as I caressed Clara's cheek while staring into eyes. She stared atfor a while then took a deep breath before nodding.

"I'm ready" She announced and I smiled then placed another kiss on her lips before leading her towards the bed and helping her onto it.

She had to lay down on her back while the doctor rubbed something on her stomach before the scan started.

"You both have to look at the screen" The doctor announced and I tore my eyes away from Clara as I turned to the screen.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I couldn't understand what I was seeing. Why were they two heads?...

My eyes widened as realization dawned on me. No... it couldn't be...

"It seems like you're having a set of twins, Mr and Mrs Donovan. Congratulations to both of you!"...
