"Tyler, how long are you going to play this time? Let's make a bet. This woman who's supposedly chasing you, she's just trying to get your attention. Give it two months tops, and she'll be gone if she doesn't see any response from you." Tyler stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray beside him. "I agree. She's not as clever as she thinks she is," he replied before hanging up the phone.

Just as he put his phone down, he turned to see Athena standing in the doorway. He had no idea how long she had been there. Freshly showered, Athena looked like a ripe peach, ready to be devoured.

Tyler swallowed hard, turned off the lights, and moved into the room. Athena wasn't sure what he was up to until he picked her up and tossed her onto the bed.

"Tyler?" she questioned nervously.

Ignoring her protests, Tyler pinned her down, making her blush furiously as she tried in vain to push him away.

Eventually, after much pleading, he finally relented, pulling her into his arms. Athena lay there trembling, her forehead damp with sweat, clutching the sheets beneath her. Tyler had always joked about not liking to kiss, but he had kissed plenty of women-just never like this.

Athena must have thought he was softening, but in true Tyler fashion, he released her the next moment. "I'll have someone drive you home," he said nonchalantly.

Athena felt like she'd been dropped from cloud nine. She said nothing, though, only struggled to dress with shaky legs.

Tyler, meanwhile, sat on the bed scrolling through his phone, not even bothering to watch her leave. He never let women stay the night, especially in his own villa.

A car was waiting outside to take Athena home. Her disheveled state made it obvious what had transpired. It took her an hour to get back to her place, which was a good forty-minute drive from Tyler's villa. She realized she'd have to head out earlier next tif she planned to cook for him.

Tyler replied to a few texts from his buddies and then shut off the lights. Before falling asleep, he thought about his night with Athena. He usually wasn't into this kind of thing, but this the couldn't resist. Her taste was intoxicating, despite her rather unlikable personality.

His plan was simple: keep seeing her, and if she didn't ask for anything, he'd play dumb. It was a win-win, really-free fun, and she was clean.

He suspected Athena genuinely liked him, but how deep that affection ran was yet to be seen. With that thought, Tyler drifted off to sleep, unconcerned about Athena.

Athena, on the other hand, tossed and turned, unable to sleep until ber friend Doris texted to ask how she was feeling. Blushing, Athena replied, "I was with Tyler again tonight." There was a pause before Doris sent a string of question marks. Athena was about to answer when Doris texted again.

"Are you serious? He hasn't given you anything, and you keep letting him take advantage." "It's not really like that. I feel like I'm the one gaining something. He's quite nice," Athena replied.

"Athena, sometimes I think you need to get your eyes checked," Doris replied.

Athena laughed and changed the subject. They chatted until late into the night, Doris telling her about the new actress she was managing-a promising non the brink of stardom. Around four in the morning, Athena was up again, having slept barely an hour. She headed out to Tyler's place, intent on making him a breakfast to remember.

When Tyler woke up, the aroma wafting in from the kitchen was impossible to ignore. He pulled on a shirt and went downstairs, surprised to find Athena busy cooking.

He had expected something basic but was taken aback by the sight of a breakfast worthy of a five-star chef "Were you a chef in a past I he asked, genuinely curious. Athena blushed. "I just loved cooking and took sclasses. But then things happened, and I stopped. Try it-tellwhat you think." As they say, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Just one bite, and Tyler was sold. He'd tasted the best, but Athena's cooking was unparalleled.
