“You mean Coco’s former owner is the guy Maja into, right?”
Holden stood up, leaning on his cane, clearly not wanting to get involved any further.

lan gave a sarcastic laugh and said to Jeff, “Take me to the hospital where Coco is.”
Jeff nodded and quickly ran forward to push the wheelchair.
lan sat in the wheelchair, gripping the chair so hard that his knuckles turned white.
His heart ached as if it were being stabbed by a nail.
Half an hour later, he arrived at the pet hospital and saw Maja waiting in the lobby.
The pet hospital only had two floors. Maja was sitting quietly in a chair, unaware of his arrival.
The storm in lan’s eyes seemed to be brewing when he saw her.
He signaled Jeff to stop, then slowly pushed his wheelchair towards her.
Maja heard a noise and looked up at him.

“Maja, if it’s true, I’d rather Coco be dead now.”
