Dylan’s eyes landed on Maja. He frowned, but his good upbringing didn’t allow him to stoop to the level of hurling

insults at her.

After all, she was alone and they had the numbers on their side.

Judith had just been released from the hospital today and had planned to host her friends who had traveled all the

way from North America to see her.

Seeing Maja alone, Judith couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

With her status as a member of the Sanders family, she had many friends in North America. She definitely wouldn’t

be left alone like Maja.

Moreover, she had specifically called Linda over. Linda was known for her fiery temper, and with just a little

prompting, could be counted on to say something quite unpleasant.

And sure enough, Linda spoke up at that moment.

“You tramp, we’ll make you pay sooner or later!”

She touched her own face, her eyes narrowed on Maja as if she wanted to tear her apart.

Judith quickly intervened, “Linda, let’s go inside.”

“Come on, Beck. Let’s go.”

Beck was standing aside and sighed softly. After the incident at the bar, his brother had given him a stern warning

not to speak with Maja, especially in public.

Especially since he had promised to do a favor for Judith for one of the three slots to Hollywood, and her

requirements were the same as his brother’s: to not speak with Maja in public.

All he could do was give Maja a nod in response.

But Linda, with her fiery temper and the crowd on her side, raised her hand to slap Maja. She was determined to

return the slap she had received.

She signaled her two friends to grab Maja’s arms while she swiftly moved to slap her.

But her hand was caught mid-air.

Ian’s other hand rested on Maja’s shoulder, pulling her towards him.

His gaze shifted to Dylan, a light chuckle escaping his lips. The overhead light highlighted his stunning features, like

a hint of early spring warmth.

“Mr. Sanders, it’s not very gallant to pick on the weak, is it?”

His tone was casual, but his gaze was intense.

Their eyes met in the air, and Dylan pursed his lips.

“Mr. Raymond, I hope you won’t be too busy in the coming days.”

Ian raised an eyebrow, his hand still on Maja’s shoulder, “Mr. Sanders, I’m certainly busier than you.”

This was a dig at the Sanders family, whose recent business in Greenfield had been taken over by another party.

Dylan didn’t say anything, he simply took Judith’s hand and left, the others slowly following behind.

Linda didn’t dare say anything else. She had met Ian in North America and now, her gaze shrunk, she shot Maja a

hateful look before quickly following the others.

Maja felt unsettled by Dylan’s words, but her attention was quickly drawn to the hand on her shoulder.

Several blisters hadn’t been properly treated and looked rather horrifying.

She was genuinely worried that such a beautiful hand would be ruined.

Ian waited for everyone to leave before silently lowering his hand.
