Maja thought of the blister on his finger and quickly stood up.

“Do you still have the burn ointment I gave you?”

Ian opened a nearby drawer and took out the ointment.

Maja opened the tube, using the light from the bedside lamp, she took his hand and gently applied the ointment.

While she was rubbing the ointment, Ian watched her. From his perspective, he could see the back of her neck, her

nightgown hanging low, revealing a large area of skin marked with traces of their earlier passion.

Now as she applied the ointment, her head was bowed. She was holding his finger carefully.

Ian leaned in closer, taking in her scent.

When she finished applying the ointment, Maja looked up at him.

“Are we in big trouble now?”

He nodded, his features still sharp. He cupped her face and gently pecked at her lips.

“Eric,” Before she could finish, a jolt of pain shot through her lips.

Ian instantly pushed her down.

“Dylan’s teamed up with him. He wants the Raymond Corporation, and he wants you.”

Maja looked at him, her heart pounding, “And what about you?”

He slowly leaned in, gently kissing her neck, “I only want you.”

He didn’t want the Raymond Corporation.

At this moment, Maja felt a pang of self-hate for her helplessness, her eyes instantly welling up.

She slowly wrapped her arms around Ian’s neck, burying her head in his chest.

Ian was momentarily taken aback, after a minute of silence he asked, “Are we back together now?”

Maja didn’t say anything. He began to undress her.

“There’s still time.”

“No, um.”

By the time they finished, it was six in the morning.

Ian made sure she was covered with the blanket, put on his suit, and left the bedroom, his face instantly becoming

cold.

Jeff was waiting for him on the first floor, respectfully handing over a document.

“Mr. Raymond, this is the will Eric had delivered overnight. Mr. Holden’s 15% stake has conditions for transfer, it can

only be done after Eric’s death. Since he’s still alive, the stake rightfully belongs to him. Today, he’s going to the

company as a high-ranking executive of the Raymond Corporation.”

Previously, the Raymond Corporation had gone through some turbulence, Ian held many shares, even with the 15%

loss, he still had absolute control.

His phone began to ring, with several missed calls from his father and then Maureen, all members of the Raymond

family.

Upon hearing that Eric had appeared at the party, the other members of the Raymond family were all stirred up,

some even sent Ian text messages.

[You’ve been occupying his position. Now that he’s back, you should step down.]

[This must be Holden’s last wish. As long as Eric is alive, he is the heir to the Raymond family.]

Ian looked at these messages and raised an eyebrow.

When he sat down on the living room sofa, Jeff placed the document in front of him.

“Mr. Steve called, he’ll be home at noon and hopes to have a good talk with you and Eric.”
