Chapter 703

“Maxim……I……”

“Don’t make me say it a second time, Kiley. Have I indulged you too much over the years, to the point where you think I would give you a chance to be with me?!”

The ward fell silent for a moment, followed by the sound of a woman’s sobbing.

Briana Cameron was hesitating whether to leave or not, after all, Maxim’s relationship with that woman seemed to be not simple.

Suddenly, the door to the sickroom was pushed open, and a woman carrying a lunch box walked out.

After the two collided face to face, both of them had shock and disbelief in their eyes, and there was a faint hint of fear in Kiley’s eyes.

“Briana?! You… you’re not dead?!” The lunch box in her hand dropped to the ground as she unconsciously stepped back, her eyes filled with terror.

Briana Cameron looked at her, who looked almost identical to herself, with wide-eyed shock. However, when she heard her call herself Briana, she couldn’t help but frown, “Miss, you’ve got the wrong person. I’m not Briana, I’m Briana Cameron.”

Kiley stared at her intently, his eyes full of disbelief, “You…you’re not dead?”

Over the past few years, Kiley had almost daily imitated from Briana’s photo, a face she would never forget, even if it turned to ashes!

This despicable person actually didn’t die, and even acted as if he didn’t know her!

Briana Cameron’s expression was icy, instinctively disliking the woman in front of her. Just as she was about to speak, Maxim’s figure suddenly appeared behind Kiley.

“How did you come?”

The gaze Maxim cast on her held a hint of anticipation. Briana Cameron responded with a calm demeanor, “Mr. Yoder, I came to see you about this morning’s incident. My mother was too emotional at the time. I apologize on her behalf and hope you can forgive her.”

Upon hearing this, a hint of disappointment fiashed in Maxim’s eyes. He laughed at himself mockingly, how could he have thought that she came over because she was worried about him.

“I understood, do you have anything else?”

Noticing his somewhat cold demeanor, Briana Cameron pursed her l*ps, “That’s all, Mr. Yoder. Take good care of yourself. I will cover the medical expenses for you and your secretary. After you are discharged from the hospital, I will invite you to dinner to properly thank you.”

Maxim didn’t speak again, his gaze lowered, lost in thought.

It wasn’t until Briana Cameron’s figure disappeared around the corner that Kiley looked at Maxim in shock and said, “Maxim, that woman is your sister, isn’t she? She’s not dead?!”

Maxim gave her a cold glance, his voice devoid of any warmth, “You seem quite unhappy to see her alive.

“How…how could this be?”

Kiley forced out a weak smile, “My sister and I are siblings… and I feel

guilty about what happened three years ago. I’m glad to see her alive… but why does she act like she doesn’t know me?”

“It’s none of your business, stop bothering her, she’s someone you couldn’t afford to mess with now!”

Leaving the hospital, Kiley hadn’t yet recovered from the shock that Briana was still alive, and immediately called Mallory.

“Mom, sister… she… is still alive…”

Hearing this, Mallory was also incredibly shocked, but she had no mind to deal with Briana at the moment.

“Kiley, you might have seen it wrong. How could someone who’s been dead for three years possibly be alive? I have something going on here, I have to hang up now.”

After hanging up the phone, Mallory picked up the dark prenatal vitamins from the edge of the table and downed them all at once.

She had finally managed to conceive again, and had already seen a doctor for confirmation. The child was a boy. As long as she gave birth to the child, Zane would definitely not go to that little tramp Sabina again!

Thinking of this, a hint of ruthlessness fiashed in her eyes.

Although that little bastard had become stupid, Sabina had been seeking medical treatment for him over the years, and now there was a trend towards normalcy. She absolutely couldn’t let Sabina succeed!

Just as the bowl was put down, Zane walked into the bedroom, still holding a plate full of candied fruits and other dried fruits in his hand.

Seeing that Mallory had already taken the medicine to prevent miscarriage, Zane’s eyes were full of tenderness, “Mallory, you’ve

worked hard. Have some candied fruit.”
