Briana frowned, “That’s because you’re not familiar with him. He’s a bit reserved, but once he
considers you a true friend, he’s very gentle.”
Madeline shook her head, “Anyway, I think he was different towards you.”
Briana initially wanted to explain that it was because she had helped him during his lowest point and

Briana didn’t expect him to find out so quickly. She spoke up, “I thought you gave it to me, it’s my
possession, and I can decide whether to sell it or keep it.”

A coldness flashed in Maxim’s eyes, just as he was about to speak, he heard Madeline’s voice coming

Briana was annoyed by what he said and said in a displeased tone, “Not everyone is like you, able to

Briana caught a glimpse of Maxim’s figure moving, as if he was about to step out of the shadows. Her
