Sophia muttered a flustered "thank you" to the salesperson, feeling the warmth of Jason's grip as he led her away from the store.
Her palms were burning!
Once they were at a safe distance, Sophia shot Jason a mortified look. "Why did we buy that?"
Jason's face was the picture of calm. "It's always good to be prepared. You wouldn't want to have to rush out to buy it when the
momentes, would you?"

Jason's tone was steady, but as he turned his head away, the corners of his lips betrayed a slow, uncontrollable smile.
Sophia was dying of curiosity about what the salesperson had meant. Was it ament about her or him?
Of course, as silly and as ambiguous as it was, she'd rather choke on her questions than actually ask Jason.
Back at their place, Jason sorted through their shopping bags, placing snacks into the special snack bin he had for Sophia, fresh
food into the kitchen, and finally, that blue box.
He handed it to her directly. "Put this in the top drawer of your nightstand."
"Oh!" Sophia's voice was a little shaky, trying to act cool, but as she turned to walk away, Jason didn't miss the redness of her ears.
Jason was puzzled by Sophia's reaction.
She had been so into Robin before, and Robin was a perfectly normal guy. They couldn't possibly—
He didn't want to dwell on it and turned to head into the kitchen.
Sophia soon followed, finding Jason slicing tomatoes. She playfully reached out to grab one, but he swatted her hand away. "Did
you wash your hands?"
With a sheepish grin, Sophia went to wash her hands.
Once she was done, Jason had washed scherries and put them in a bowl for her. "Go watch TV!"
