Mr. Hanson immediately beamed. “Drive carefully! We'll be waiting for you at home.”
Around nine o'clock, Xavier arrived at the Hanson estate. Mrs. Hanson and Hannah Hanson were as weing as ever. In front of
Mr. Hanson, she served him tea and called to the servants, “Quickly, bring out the fruit | prepared for Gonzalez.”
Three servants brought out various fruit platters, filling the entire coffee table.
Mrs. Hanson smiled. “I handpicked all this fruit myself, and then washed and cut it. What do you think, dear?”
Mr. Hanson looked at the exquisitely arranged platters and smiled. “You've put a lot of thought into it.”
He then turned to Xavier. “Have some.”
“I don’t like fruit,” Xavier said coolly. “Are we leaving now?”
Mr. Hanson frowned slightly. Hannah quickly shook her head at him, signaling that she was fine, and maintained her warm, gentle
smile. “Gonzalez, we're going to the Lamonts’ today, and you're representing the Hanson family as the eldest son. You can’t dress
too casually. I've prepared a few outfits for you. Please go upstairs and try them on.”
