When the Hanson family arrived, the Lamonts personally weed them. As long-tfamily friends, their relationship was closer

wear at the wedding.”
Catherine declined politely. “That's very thoughtful of you, Yvonne, but it's not necessary. Estelle personally designed jewelry for
Janice and me, so we're already prepared.”
Yvonne's elegant smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered, her smile even more graceful. “Designed by Estelle
herself? In that case, | wouldn't dare show my humble offering.”
Catherine, unaware of certain things and feeling a little sorry for Yvonne, who she thought had always liked Jonathan, said gently,
“Yvonne, you're bing more beautiful and successful. It’s tyou found a boyfriend.”
Hannah's eyes darted around before she said with a laugh, “Yvonne and Jonathan used to be close, and Mrs. Lamont always said
she wanted Yvonne as a daughter-in-law. Yvonne took your words to heart, and now it’s hard for her to consider anyone else.”
Catherine's smile faded slightly. “We did joke about that in the past, but marriage is a matter of fate. Jonathan is about to get
married, so we shouldn't bring up the past. We wouldn't want to hold Yvonne back.”
