Jonathan was sitting on the sofa, scrolling through his chat with Estelle.
Yvonne brought a plate of fruit over, smiling, “Charlie and them said they’re going to the Country of N on the
second day of Lunar New Year, then head to the Country of S to go skiing. They’ve got it all planned out.”
Jonathan looked at his phone, responded flatly, “You guys go ahead, I’ve got other plans.”
A flicker of disappointment crossed Yvonne’s eyes, “What plans? Are you going to hang out with Estelle?”
“Yes.” Jonathan simply affirmed, then got up and walked towards the balcony.!
Unable to suppress her disappointment, Yvonne picked up her drink and downed half of it, then followed him. She
leaned against the railings on the balcony, turned to look at him, “Are you avoiding me?”
Jonathan’s expression was cold, “No.”
Since this afternoon, you’ve been avoiding me. When we were playing cards, you purposely gave your seat to
Carson. Every time I get close to you, you leave after a few words. You’re avoiding me.”
“If you think so, I can’t help it!”
Jonathan’s emotionless tone hurt Yvonne.
“Is Estelle the one who doesn’t want you to be with me? That day at Jade Chamber, she misunderstood us, so she
doesn’t want you close to me! I’ve already given up on you, what else does she want?”She laughed bitterly.
Jonathan frowned, his gaze cold, “Estelle didn’t say anything. You don’t need to guess what she’s thinking! I have a
girlfriend, and I don’t need her to tell me to keep a distance from other women. It’s as simple as that!”
Yvonne was stunned.
