Charlie suddenly had an idea and said, “Did you also come because of the lawsuit?”
The man’s attitude was very resistant, and his words were full of resentment and anger. “So what if I
am?”
“Buddy, what a coincidence. I’m also here because of this. Which law firm did you find?” Charlie
paused for a moment and then said, “I just came out of HM Law Office. I was annoyed by the failure of

Charlie’s tone was very calm as if he was just stating a fact, and as if he really didn’t know her and just
happened to pass by. His words almost made Evelyn believe him.
When the man learned that Charlie had lost the lawsuit too, he was clearly taken aback. “Who was
your lawyer?” he asked.
It only took Charlie a second to blurt out, “Lawyer Warren from HM Law Office, Steve Warren. Do you
know him?”
“Steve Warren?” The man’s attention was diverted.

her now.”
The man was shocked, asking, “Are you going to sue her? Are you crazy? She’s a lawyer from HM
Law Office. How can you
defeat her?”
“Anyway, I’ve lost the lawsuit, so there’s nothing to worry about. Since I’m not having a good time, I
don’t want her to have one either.” Charlie slowly took out a pack of cigarettes from his trouser pocket.
“Hey buddy, if you have any information about Eva, feel free to share it with me.”
