Evelyn’s eyes flickered as she looked at the scarf in her hand.

“Miss Klein, what happened?” Sadie asked as she looked away politely. Miss Klein looked at Mia as if
she were a narcissistic
fool.
Mia pursed her lips and glanced behind Sadie. She knew that
Huston was outside, but he did not come in.
