Chapter 759 Confrontation in the Black Market
He indifferently stared at Selina, “My one hundred million dollars wasn’t meant
to allow her presence in your auction.”
“One hundred million dollars?” Martha looked at Joe in shock, “You… and
she…?”
Joe subtly exchanged glances with Selina, nodded to Martha, and said, “Yeah, I
gave her one hundred million dollars to check the surveillance. I didn’t expect…”
Martha was completely stunned, shifting her gaze to Charlotte, lost in thought.
Selina pulled out a silver handgun, pointing it at Joe, “Even if it was me, what
can you do?”
At this point, Hope stepped forward, grabbed the muzzle of Selina’s gun, and
calmly said, “It was probably a misunderstanding by one of the subordinates.

Selina looked him up and down and put away her gun.
She walked to the door and patted Dylan’s shoulder, “Get these people out of
here immediately.”
Dylan nodded expressionlessly, looking at the waiters behind them.
In the end, Joe and the others were “escorted” out of the black market.
Joe looked at Hope, “Thank you for just now.”
Hope sighed softly and patted Joe’s shoulder, “It’s fine. Since you are Martha’s
child, I will naturally take good care of you.”
Joe lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on Charlotte’s face, without expressing
any opinions.
They returned to their home country as fast as they could, accompanied by
Martha and Hope.
According to the two of them, they happened to find Charlotte and wanted to
see how she was doing.
Moreover, Martha had finally remembered Joe and wanted to see if she could
remember more.
“If you want to regain your memory, perhaps staying with the Pitman family will
be more helpful,” Joe said to Martha after getting off the plane.
Martha looked puzzled, about to refuse, when Joe said, “I’ve already informed
Grandpa and Grandma about your return from the dead, and they were very
shocked…” Before he could finish, two elderly people with tears streaming down their faces came over and hugged
Martha clumsily. Seeing her parents in tears, Martha’s heart softened, and she hugged the two old people and
started crying. Joe greeted them and left the airport with Charlotte.
Charlotte, feeling uncomfortable, had fallen asleep on the plane. When they
landed, Joe refused Martha’s suggestion to wake her up and carried her to the
car.
Only when she was in the car did Charlotte wake up.

Seeing her like this, Joe felt a deep ache in his heart.
Suppressing his own emotions, he asked softly, “Are you still feeling unwell?”
Charlotte carefully assessed how she felt; there was no longer the intense pain
she had been experiencing.
She shook her head, “It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
She looked out the window and suddenly asked, “Where are we going?”
“We’re going home,” Joe was interrupted by Charlotte, “Do I own a house? Can
I live alone?”
“Why?” Joe frowned, “Is there something about me that makes you
uncomfortable, or…”
His eyes met Charlotte’s clear eyes, and he swallowed the rest of his words.
