When these words were spoken, Charlotte’s last worries vanished. She quickly
grabbed Joe’s hand and said, “I just took screenshots of several shop signs; they
should be in town.”
Seeing them converse as if speaking in riddles, Professor Campion and Jerome
behind them were about to lose their patience.
“What are you talking about? Did you find the children?” Professor Campion,
losing all composure typical of a professor, rushed up to Joe and asked loudly.
Joe, understanding his urgency, nodded and showed him the image.

followed Charlotte and Joe as they drove off.
Erik did something on his phone, and the camera view changed to a map with a
red dot, and they began to follow the direction of the dot.
Still feeling a bit uneasy, Professor Campion whispered to Jack beside him, “Can
this device really help us locate them?”
Jack chuckled, “Don’t worry. Ben has a dedicated lab helping him realize his
ideas. The device will work.”
“A lab?” Professor Campion exclaimed.
Jack smiled and nodded.
Although Professor Campion knew that Joe and Charlotte were wealthy, he didn’t
detect anything unusual because they always acted discreetly.
But now, hearing Jack’s casual comment, he felt a deep envy.
Usually, to get a project approved in school, he had to go through many layers of
bureaucracy, not to mention securing funding.
Yet, Ben, not even five years old, had his own lab! And he could use it freely!
For the first time, Professor Campion truly understood the meaning of the word
“envy.”
But it wasn’t the time to dwell on it now.
Soon, they converged with the red dot on the map in their car.
Professor Campion was the first to jump out, looking around but found nothing
that corresponded to the red dot’s location.
As he was about to speak, a mechanical insect gently landed on Charlotte’s

Charlotte’s shoulder, disbelief evident in his eyes.
Charlotte carefully took the mechanical insect into her palm and tapped its head.
Suddenly, the insect began to play a recording from Ben, “Dad, Mom, we’ve been
captured by six bad guys and are in a pitch-black room. They seem to be hiding
temporarily because the road is blocked. The little bug will lead you to us.”
As Charlotte played the recording, a button on Ben also vibrated.
A glint of hope appeared in his eyes as he whispered to Anna and Dennis, “Mom
has gotten Robotrack. We’ll be rescued soon.”
Luckily, the kidnappers didn’t recognize the value of the button and the insect,
although they took away their watches.
Anna and Dennis rejoiced, the pitch-black room no longer instilled fear but
instead hope because their parents would arrive soon.
