Chapter 110
“I'm on my way to Cloudridge Valley. You'd better tell that man of yours to get lost, Chris said,
Stephanie smirked. “You still have the nerve to go to Cloudridge Valley? Is your hand even healed yet?”
The second those words left her mouth, the air on the other end of the call grew suffocatingly tense.
Chris instinctively glanced down at his left arm, still wrapped in a cast. His grip on the phone tightened as he
gritted his teeth. “You”
Stephanie let out a peal of laughter. “Are you trying to fight for Olivia’s honor? Hate to break it to you, but you're
only setting yourself up for disappointment. If | were you, I'd be more careful. You don’t want to cross the wrong
man, right?”
“Stephanie!” Chris snapped, his voice laced with fury. But before he could say another word, the line went dead.
The beeping tone that followed only fanned the flames of his rage. With a furious growl, he threw his phone
against the dashboard.
He had never, in his entire life, been this humiliated. No one in Long Harbor had ever dared to provoke him like
this.
“If you don’t find out who that man is by tonight, then don’t bother showing up tomorrow,” Chris barked.
Kevin, who had been driving, nearly jumped out of his skin. A cold sweat broke out on his back.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe still hadn’t managed to dig up any intel on the man.
But Chris was desperate for answers.
Whoever this mysterious figure was, he had suddenly appeared in Long Harbor out of nowhere.
Who the hell is this guy? And why is Stephanie involved with him?‘ he wondered. The thought of it sent Chris’
fury skyrocketing,
He lit a cigarette and took a deep, aggressive drag. “I don’t care what it takes. Bring in Zane if you have to.”
Kevin's hands tightened on the wheel. He had not expected Chris to go so far as to involve Zane. That only
meant one thing; he had to find out the man’s identity as soon as possible.
Kevin gave a firm nod. “Understood.”
Just as Stephanie hung up on Chris, her phone rang again; this time, it was Tyler. She picked up.
‘Since they've spent the past few days trying to crush me, it's about t| put them back in their place,’ she
wondered.
On the other end of the line, Tyler, much like Chris, had no patience for pleasantries. “Who was the man that
bailed you
out?”
Stephanie's voice took on a smug, taunting edge. “Does it really matter? At least it wasn’t you, my dear brother.”
Her words, drenched in mockery, were identical to what she had said to Chris earlier.
And just like Chris, Tyler found the way she addressed him unbearably grating.
For a brief moment, his chest tightened.

Chapter 110
Fighting to keep his temper in check, he said, “Stephanie, you are part of the Hart family. Who gave you
permission to disgrace us like this?”
“What exactly did | do?” Stephanie asked, her tone lazy, almost indifferent.
“Who is that man? The one you're with?” Tyler demanded.
“He’s the man | like. The man | love,” Stephanie said, her voice unwavering.
Just as she spoke, the door swung open. Sebastian had just stepped in when he heard those words. His hand,
gripping the doorknob, went stiff.
Stephanie, on the other hand, was caught completely off guard. Her heartbeat stuttered, her chest tightening. It
was such a coincidence.
Their eyes met. His gaze, deep and unreadable, bore into hers. A sudden wave of heat rushed to her face, her
cheeks flushing. Subconsciously, her eyes flickered away in the slightest bit of guilt.
Meanwhile, on the other end of the call, Tyler's fury erupted. “The man you love? You just broke off your

He could not believe it. She had barely ended things with Chris, and she was already claiming to love another
man.
Sebastian, noticing that she was on a call, quietly stepped back out of the room, closing the door behind him.
The moment the door shut, Stephanie's fleeting hesitation vanished. Her fighting spirit flared back to life.
“Shame?” she scoffed. “You're one to talk. You got a woman pregnant, refused to marry her, and still kept things
murky with Lilian. You, of all people, have the audacity to lectureabout shame?”
