Chapter 179
Chris’s chest heaved with anger, and he glared at Stephanie. “Stephanie, tell your boyfriend to back off!”
Stephanie crossed her arms, sneering. “If you've got the guts, get up yourself.”
Still running his mouth at a tlike this? Did the guy have a death wish?
Chris was boiling with rage-and humiliation.
The pain was bad enough, but the humiliation made Chris want to rip Stephanie and that guy apart.
Kevin wanted to step in, but one look at Sebastian's aura and he froze.
Instead, he threw Stephanie pleading looks, hoping she'd help.
She ignored him completely.
Kevin was so anxious, cold sweat ran down his back.
Desperate, Chris turned his head and demanded, “Who the hell are you?”
A guy this ruthless-how had Chris never heard of him before?
Sebastian didn’t answer. He just shifted his foot, and with a sharp crack, Chris groaned in pain.
Sweat poured down his face.
“I swear to God, I'll kill you! And you, Stephanie! You're dead too!”
That threat only made Sebastian’s smile turn even darker. The second Chris said he wanted Stephanie dead, the

“You really think you're walking out of here alive?”
As he spoke, his hand moved to his waist.
Kevin's breath caught in his throat. When he saw what Sebastian was pulling out, his whole body went cold.
Even the air seemed sharper, like the wind itself could cut.
Just as it looked like Chris was done for, Stephanie strolled over and grabbed Sebastian's wrist. “Sebastian.”
His gaze flicked to her, still ice-cold. “Feeling sorry for him?”
“Not worth it,” she said flatly.
And just to make her point, she stepped down hard on Chris's injured hand.
Chris let out a pained hiss, more pathetic than ever.
Stephanie slipped the weapon out of Sebastian’s hand. “Let's go.”
She didn’t care about Chris one bit.

What mattered was keeping Sebastian out of unnecessary trouble.

the fallout would be a mess.
Stephanie always put Sebastian first.
Sebastian held her gaze for a moment, eyes unreadable, but in the end, he let her take the weapon.
Like a raging beast instantly tamed.
He gave Chris one last icy glare before stepping off him and walking away with Stephanie.
Chris lay there, drained and shaking.
It wasn’t until their car disappeared down the road that he finally let Kevin help him up.
“What the hell was that guy holding?”
Even now, just thinking about it sent a chill down Chris’s spine.
In a place like Long Harbor, that guy dared to act so recklessly. Who the hell was he?
Kevin nodded. “Yeah, that’s the thing.”
He'd caught a clear glimpse of the man’s eyes earlier-there was nothing but danger in them, the kind that came
from completely losing control.
If Stephanie hadn't stepped in, Kevin was sure Chris wouldn't have made it out alive.
And the fact that guy carried something like that around? Just showed how dangerous he really was.
Chris’s chest heaved with anger. “You're tellingwe still don’t know who that guy is?”

He tried to dig through his memory, but nothing clicked.
As for the man’s background... Whatever forces were behind him had completely blocked any trace of him.
That alone said plenty. This wasn’t someone ordinary.
Chris winced sharply. “Damn it-getto the hospital, now.”
His hand hurt like hell. At this point, he couldn't even move it.

Meanwhile, in Sebastian's car-
Stephanie quietly put the item back at his waist, then glanced at him. “You done with business in Long Harbor?”
Sebastian took her cold little hand, rubbing swarmth into it. “Why?”
“I miss Mom and Sofia.”
