‘Agnes, I won’t allow it!” The look on Jared’s face was one of rage.

news of incest in the Whitfield family to appear in the newspapers, would you?”
Jared’s face darkened.
He grabbed Agnes wrist tightly and said, “I will not allow you to target Ryder, so you should abandon these
ridiculous ideas, Agnes. I will not allow you to succeed, nor will I ever divorce you.”
“You can’t stop me from doing what I want.”
“Then just try me, Agnes!”
“You just wait!”
Jared was almost grinding his teeth. He was gripping Agnes‘ arm so tightly that he seemed about to crush it.
How could the woman in front of him have become so hateful?
