Agnes just couldn’t bear to stay with him.
She whispered, “Can you find your own way home? You’ve had a few drinks, don’t drive yourself. Get a designated
driver or call your secretary. I need to go see my dad.”
With that, Agnes turned and walked away.
Jared had planned to spend the night with Agnes, looking after Preston.
