Jared spun around to grab the meds and got a glass of water.
Entering the room, he saw Agnes completely hidden under the covers, motionless.
As Jared gave Nocturne his meds, he took him to another bedroom.
He told Nocturne, “You should go to bed. You’re sleeping alone here tonight, okay?”
Nocturne nodded, “Sir, did I trouble you earlier?”
Jared didn’t expect Nocturne to be self–aware.
But all Jared could say was, “No, everything is fine.”
He just wanted to get back to his room ASAP.
Nocturne suddenly asked curiously, “Was that lady just now your girlfriend?”
Jared thought for a moment, “She’s my wife.”
