Yes, humans. The experiment included human test subjects. Although the data only showed numbers, one could tell through the
collected data and reactions throughout the process that the test subjects were people.
This research institute seemed to be far more terrifying than Lily had imagined. She felt a chill rising from her back. The more she
looked at the data, the more frightened she became.
At spoint, a hand on her shoulder sent her jumping up in shock. When she turned her head and saw that it was Alexander, she
breathed a sigh of relief. "When did you cupstairs?"
After a pause, she returned to her senses and asked another question, "Are you done?"

"What's wrong?" Alexander did not see the content of Lily’s email but noticed she was staring at the computer screen intently.
"Nothing. I'm just looking at sdata." She took a deep breath and turned around to look up at Alexander. "I got someone to
hack into the encrypted database from the previous experimental base and retrieve sdata. Sure enough, as | guessed before,
they're conducting illegal experiments."
"The poisons?" Alexander asked after thinking about it.
"It's not just that," Lily answered, "They're also experimenting with people. | suspect Secretary Rollins, Austin, and maybe even
Edward are their experimental subjects."
"Edward?!" Alexander raised his eyebrows, somewhat surprised by what he heard. Although Edward's behavior was abnormal and
bizarre, Alexander did not connect the dots to the previous research institute.
"Yeah." She nodded affirmatively. Then she turned to face the computer again and clicked on sthings to show him. "Look.
These are the things in the encrypted database. They are experimenting with certain medicines that control people's central
nervous system and bodily functions. Since these medicines have different properties, their effects vary as well."
"Can it control one's thoughts?" Alexander narrowed his eyes and thought for a moment.
"Not entirely. That is only a part of it," Lily affirmed his statement before continuing, "I suspect that their experiments are not
entirely successful yet. Judging from the current data, the probability of failure is relatively high. They've conducted many
experiments, but there's yet to be a record of true success. There are always side effects.
Alexander sneered and said disdainfully, "Such harmful things would have side effects. What side effects are they talking about?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"That's not it!" Lily looked solemn. "It is harmful. From their perspective, they're trying to control people's minds to achieve their
own goals. However, their previous test subjects seemed to have uncontrolled behaviors that caused them to be terminated.
“According to the current data records, only Experiment RX was a success. However, the results are still pending. | assthey're
unsure about its side effects for now. They may be able to control someone's mind successfully, but there may still be a probability
of failure.”
"So, what are they planning to do with this research? Take over the world?!" Alexander could not help but exclaim.
Thompson initially approached him to invest in this project with a positive plan. The proposal mentioned the dual perspectives of
medicine and fragrance and its challenge to allow the public to get treated comfortably. It sounded significant to Alexander.
However, no one had expected them to do so many dirty things behind such a positive front. Just the thought of it was repelling.
Although Alexander's words were a mockery, Lily nodded solemnly. "You're right. | assthat's their end goal."
Alexander immediately fell silent as his eyes widened in shock. A few seconds later, he let out a mocking laugh. "This is ridiculous!"
