Jared surprisedwith so many twists and turns. But honestly, with someone new in my life, | shouldn't bother
with the old flame.
| didn’t reply to Jared. Instead, | flipped my phone face down and left it there.
Ryan's eyes lingered on my phone, then he let out a soft breath and handeda peeled egg. “Victoria, here, try
this.”
| took it and took a bite. It tasted so good.
“What are you up to this morning? Want to go somewhere? | can show you around,” Ryan said.

| hadn't planned anything for that trip. | just wanted to take it easy for a few days. | didn’t know what | wanted to
do.
“Sure, let's go have sfun,” | said.
“How about Disneyland?” Ryan suggested.

“Sure,” | replied. I'd taken Yvonne there before, but | was so wrapped up in making sure she had fun that | barely
did anything for myself. Ryan couldn't help but grin when | said yes.
Tchanged into scomfy clothes, pulled my hair back into a ponytail, and followed Ryan downstairs, only to
see him waiting in a Porsche sports car.
“Hop in,” Ryan said, holding the door open for me. Grinning, Ryan circled around to the driver's side and fired up
the engine.
Disneyland, nestled on Largtau Island in the New Terriland, is Araria’s second Disneyland, a place where the
magic of fairytales comes alive, and there’s something for everyone, young or old.
Ryan still had that boyish charm. When we arrived, someone had already taken care of everything for us. |
glanced at him, and he just grinned. “Just a friend of mine prepared all this.”
| knew Ryan had plenty of secrets, but if he didn’t want to talk about them, I just let it be.
We played until a little after three, and by then, we were both wiped out. Ryan asked if | wanted to keep going,
but I said, “Nah, I'm done. | just want to go hand chill.”
Ryan droveback, and on the way he got a few calls. From what | overheard, his friends were trying to get him
to cout, but he just brushed them off.
When we got to my place, | told Ryan he should go hang out with his friends instead of sticking around here, but
he just wouldn't leave.
| let him stretch out on the couch to rest, then headed to the bathroom for a shower, changed into scozy

| got up and wandered into the living room. Ryan was there, glued to his phone, not even bothering to turn on
the lights. He sprang to his feet as soon as he saw me. “You're awake.”
| asked, “Why are you still here? | thought you'd left.”
Ryan grinned. “Honestly, | got bored with hanging out with my friends. Didn't feel like tagging along anymore.”
| flipped on the lights, and the room lit up.
Ryan asked, “Did you sleep well? Wantto take you up to Peace Peak to check out the city lights?”
| glanced out the window at the dark sky. “We haven't even had dinner yet.”
Ryan chuckled. “Let's eat first, then we'll go. Have you ever been?”
| shook my head. “Nope, but I've heard about it. Isn't there the Sky Terrace and a cable car that’s been running
for
over a century?”
“Yep, so how about we head over now?” Ryan suggested with a smile, noticing | was interested.
I'd had plenty of sleep, and it was about tto get out for a bit, so | agreed.
Ryan seemed to know that place inside out. After takingto a restaurant for dinner, he drove us up to Peace
Peak.
Riding the cable car, the whole Shariport Island and Nueriloon Peninsula spread out beneath us, making the
city’s
magic feel so real.
By the twe’d had our fill and headed back down, it was already late. Ryan drovehand said his
goodbyes. | watched him drive away, feeling a little calmer inside.
Ryan’s got so much energy, but after spending twith him, | realized he’s got this old-soul vibe, always
thinking things through.
The next day, | was getting ready to head back to Hachester. As | was packing up, | sent Ryan a quick message.
Thinking back to how he said he wanted to cback and work here. | told him | was cool with it.
