Chapter 315 Cacodemon Versus Lone Demon Beast

Jeff and Beatrix were together, but they had lost track of Jonathan and the Lone Demon Beast's

location.

Mabel's condition was worsening by the minute, but she never gave up. She hung in there while

clenching her jaw.

Beatrix had always been calm and collected, but now, she was obviously panicking.

Jeff looked at Beatrix and comforted, “Jonathan has always been lucky. I'm sure nothing will happen to

him.”

Beatrix replied, “Jon is no match for the Lone Demon Beast. He'll be in danger if the Lone Demon

Beast continues chasing after him. I wonder how he's doing right now?”

Jeff did not know how to reply, for he wasn't even sure if they would make it out of there alive.

Plus, it was not a good idea for him and Beatrix to take Mabel out of Pinelake Mountain Forest.

Mabel could not hold on much longer, and her condition could not be resolved by going to a hospital

either.

Jeff and Beatrix stayed where they were. They could not just abandon Jonathan. They did not even

know what they were waiting for.

At that moment, the ground shook once more.

The Lone Demon Beast had returned.

Beatrix's eyes brimmed with horror as she realized that Jonathan must have perished. “I'm going to kill

that monster!” Beatrix yelled as she ran toward the Lone Demon Beast.

Jeff wanted to stop her, but he was too late. He turned to look at Mabel. Under such circumstances, it

was useless for him to take her and escape.

Mabel was slowly drifting in and out of consciousness, and she could die at any moment.

Jeff could not bring himself to escape on his own either. He clenched his teeth and left Mabel before

charging toward the Lone Demon Beast with Beatrix.

The Lone Demon Beast was as tall as a mountain as it appeared before them.

Beatrix quickly brandished her Demon Slayer blade and gathered a tremendous amount of mana while

wielding the weapon.

Demon Slayer was as fast as lightning as it flew toward the Lone Demon Beast's eyes.

It was about to stab the Lone Demon Beast's eye when the monster suddenly turned its head and used

its horn to knock the blade away.

meters away. Beatrix wanted to summon the sword back, but the power applied to it was too great, and

she could not control it.

Demon Slayer finally ended up jamming into a tree.

face Jeff.

Although Jeff was much stronger than Beatrix, his mana was still not formidable enough to subdue the

Lone Demon Beast. The current amount of vitality within him was in no way stronger than Beatrix's,

too. Hence, he had no choice but to run and avoid the Lone Demon Beast. Alas, he was not able to

avoid its final attack.

Jeff was also sent soaring into the air and fell onto the ground hard. Not long after, he coughed up a

mouthful of blood as well.

Both Beatrix and Jeff were now too weak to fight back.

The Lone Demon Beast made its way toward Jeff.

A glint of murderous intent flashed across its eyes. It was prepared to kill.

Just as Beatrix and Jeff were in critical condition, Jonathan's voice rang out all of a sudden.

“Be a good boy and kill this beast for me!” Lawson yelled as he sat on the cacodemon's shoulder.

He had had enough of the Lone Demon Beast.

Beatrix and Jeff were met with a large cacodemon.

In other words, all they saw was a monster approaching them but did not see Jonathan.

What the heck? Why is there another monster?

Beatrix and Jeff were rendered speechless, thinking they were in a prehistoric movie or something.

Nonetheless, Beatrix was happy when she heard Jonathan's voice.

Even Mabel, who was on the verge of death, struggled to open her eyes to take a look.

The Lone Demon Beast spotted the cacodemon, too.

The latter made its way to the Lone Demon Beast, and the two beasts were soon engaged in an

intense ultimate battle.

Jonathan remained standing on the cacodemon's shoulder.

The cacodemon glowered at the Lone Demon Beast, and the latter did the same.

Suddenly, the Lone Demon Beast roared at the cacodemon.

The cacodemon roared back. It seemed as if the two beasts were communicating with one another.

The Lone Demon Beast became agitated and roared a few more times.

The cacodemon was silent for a moment before bellowing again.

Infuriated, the Lone Demon Beast clawed at the cacodemon.

The cacodemon widened its eyes in anger and stomped its foot before letting out a ferocious roar. All of

a sudden, a terrifying aura emanated from the cacodemon, and its eyes turned red while its claws

slashed through the air.

The two claws collided with each other, but none could get the upper hand.

However, the cacodemon was more agile as it quickly swung its other claw.

The Lone Demon Beast used its horn to counterattack, but the cacodemon sent it a flying kick.

The battle between the two beasts was interesting.

Jonathan had to grab hold of the cacodemon carefully to avoid falling off.

Bam!

Soon, the cacodemon's fist landed on the Lone Demon Beast's face, and it stumbled backward

unsteadily, almost looking like it was drunk.

The cacodemon punched the Lone Demon Beast again and punctured a hole in its stomach.

In a flash, the cacodemon pulled out the Lone Demon Beast's intestines and organs.

Blood flowed out from the hole like a river.

Just like that, its white and wrinkly intestines fell out.

The Lone Demon Beast roared in pain.

Strangely enough, numerous baby ghosts came crawling out of the Lone Demon Beast's intestines.

Seeing that, Jonathan couldn't help laughing joyously. I can't believe the baby ghosts are still alive and

weren't digested by the Lone Demon Beast. There's hope for Mabel now.

The baby ghosts were very weak at the moment. Their movements were slow, making them easier to

be caught.

The Lone Demon Beast struggled briefly before roaring at the cacodemon.

Its body soon started to shrivel and turn into a humanoid figure.

The humanoid figure it transformed into was also a monster that had brown-colored skin. The

monster's intestines were falling out of its stomach, and it was extremely feeble. It looked at the

cacodemon and asked, “Why?”

It was speaking human language, making for a strange scene.

The cacodemon also started to change its form. It grew smaller and turned into the size of an eight or

nine-year-old child. Its skin was covered in densely-packed white scales, and its face was pale. It

looked as if it had vitiligo and was scary to look at.

The cacodemon looked at the Lone Demon Beast and said, “You can't kill my mom. No one can kill my

mom.”

The Lone Demon Beast was furious. “You idiot! You are a horrifying cacodemon. How dare you treat

him as your mom! They are humans. They won't ever let you go. You are courting death!”

A sense of hesitation flashed across the cacodemon's eyes. It seemed like it had something else to

say, but the Lone Demon Beast had tilted its head and died.

The moment it stopped breathing, its body reverted to its original beast state.

The cacodemon fell silent.

Jonathan made his way to the cacodemon and patted its head as he softly said, “Good boy. You don't

need to worry about how others perceive or talk about you. I'll always be your family.”

Happiness could be seen in the cacodemon's eyes. It was still a child, after all. Immediately, it hugged

Jonathan's leg and chirped, “Mom! Mom!”

Jonathan rolled his eyes and said, “Call me 'Dad.' I'm your dad. Do you understand?”

The cacodemon stared at him momentarily before obediently calling him “Dad.”

At that moment, Jonathan could not care less about anything else. He immediately made his way

toward Mabel to check on her condition.
