That being, their preferred leading lady, Hannah Dixon, was still on vacation.
Hannah was taking a six-month break, after which she was scheduled to shoot a film her agent had lined up for her,
which would take about three months.
So, from the start of Hannah’s vacation, it would be nine months before she could join the drama crew – assuming
she agreed to the project.

before, haven’t you?”
Hannah retorted, “You’ve worked at big companies, been an executive assistant for years. How can you still be so
naive? Let me tell you, trusting a businessman is like putting a juicy steak in front of a dog and expecting it not to
eat it.”
With that, Cornelia had to agree, “I guess I’m just too innocent.*
No wonder she was no match for Marcus, who could spin her around with a few words – Marcus was the biggest
shark in the tank, after all.
Hannah assured her, “If you’re really the scriptwriter, then I can sign the contract without any worries.”

“Hannah, you know me better than anyone else,” Cornelia said.
Hannah confirmed, “Of course, we’re BFFs after all.”
Cornelia asked, “When are you planning on coming back to Riverton?”
Hannah replied, “I was planning on returning at the end of the year and going straight back to my hometown for
Christmas. But now I’ve changed my mind. I want to come back a month earlier to keep you company.”
Overjoyed, Cornelia said, “That’s fantastic. You can give me some advice to help make the script even better.”
Hannah agreed, ‘Of course, that’s not a problem. But Nelly, I have to warn you. It’s not unheard of for the
production team to change the scriptwriter after the shooting starts, or for investors to replace you with a
ghostwriter. You always have to be on your guard.
You can’t let your guard down just because someone’s nice to you, and you certainly can’t hand over your hard
work to someone else just like that.
