Marcus set very high standards for himself and for those around him. Because he was so exceptional, it was hard
for anyone to outshine him in any respect. So, in his eyes, there were very few people he would praise. He seldom
compliments others, but when it came to Cornelia, he could’t stop singing her praises
Tom said. “If I didn’t know she was your wife, I might have noticed her abilities first. But now that I know she’s your
wife, I’m more interested in other aspects. Like what drew you to her? Her stunning figure, her flawless face, or her
skills in bed”
“Watch your mouth!” Marcus‘ face darkened, his eyes filled with
icy coldness. He hated it when some guys made crude jokes in inappropriate situations. And when those jokes
involved his Cornelia, he was even less tolerant.
Tom still didn’t realize the gravity of the situation, “I was just kidding, why the temper?”
“You and I are different. We don’t need to collaborate anymore. Marcus stopped in his tracks, turned to his two
assistants following him and said, “See the guest out.”
Cornelia and Ben were both puzzled. The two of them had been chatting in German. The atmosphere seemed fine,
so why did he suddenly get angry?
