Chapter 289 I'll Take You There Maggie paused for a moment, understanding Timmothy's implication.
He wanted her to end things i Nathael, a request she hadn't accepted. Rather than convincing her further, he used the explosion and finger to make her face the consequences of her refusal.
Maggie's heart quivered; her lovely almond eyes brimmed with tears, and the edges of her eyes turned crimson.
She stared intently at the seemingly harmless man before her while uttering through clenched teeth, “I should've ended you on the mountainside just now." Timmothy met her gaze with indifference, offering a smile as he remarked, “Practice makes perfect. Perhaps next time, you'll be more ruthless." Maggie averted her eyes. Her hand clenched into a fist on the table as her gaze shifted to the collapsing temple. Though her nails dug into her flesh, she felt no pain.
Bang! A deafening noise rang out.
In an instant, the already crumbling temple collapsed entirely, burying Timmothy and his hired men.
Their comrades outside fled first.

Maggie acted on instinct, plunging into the chaotic rubble.
Meanwhile, Timmothy remained seated, observing her while lost in thought.
"Nathael!" Maggie couldn't discern the direction and relied on intuition, scouring the area for Nathael's form.
"Ethan!" Tears filled Maggie's eyes, her voice choked with sobs despite the ongoing explosions.
He'll be okay, right? He has to be! "Nathael? Where are you?" Maggie moved debris around the statue while stepping over ruins, but Nathael remained unseen.
An indescribable panic enveloped her, causing her goosebumps to rise.
A fear from the depths of her soul made her tremble involuntarily.

"Ms. Adam, there's another timed explosive here. You should leave!" Ethan wiped blood from his face and spoke gravely.
Maggie ignored his warning. "You were close to Nathael just now. He must be nearby." Maggie forced herself to stay composed. She mentally measured the distances, trying to estimate Nathael's whereabouts.
"He's around here; he must be close.....
Maggie kneeled on the rubble, mumbling to herself while moving stones and debris.
Soon, her fair fingers were cut by sharp rocks, but she seemed oblivious as she calmly directed Ethan, "Go two meters that way. He might be there." Upon hearing this, Ethan refrained from persuading her further and joined others in the search.
Minutes later, someone shouted, "Over here!" Maggie hurried over. Soon, she saw Nathael covered in blood and debris. Blood was flowing down his forehead onto half his face, with the other half covered in dust.
He seemed unconscious. His complexion was pale, and his eyes were closed, his lashes coated in dust. Maggie embraced his head tightly and held her cheek against his while sobbing. "Nathael, wake up! You'll be okay, right?" His cheek felt warm with sticky blood. Maggic wiped her tears away and said, "I'll get you out." Ethan and Alex rushed over to lend a hand. Ethan carried Nathael while muttering. "Timmothy's crazy! He set off explosions on the mountaintop, not caring if the whole mountain collapses!" Alex didn't look hopeful either. "If it weren't for Mr. Charlie's sake, Mr. Harris wouldn't have put up with him so much." Maggie stayed quiet, assisting Ethan and the others in guiding Nathael to the flat ground outside the temple. Timmothy and his crew had already left, seeming confident that Nathael wouldn't die here. Maggie and Alex carefully inspected Nathael's injuries, feeling somewhat relieved.

"Nathael..." Maggie's hand gently touched his cheek as she spoke softly. Tears she had been holding back now streamed down her face, impossible to hold back.
After settling the others, Ethan spoke seriously, "We need to leave quickly; this place is about to blow." Maggie snapped back to reality, suddenly remembering something. She passed Nathael to Alex, whispering, "You guys take him and go; I'll go back to find something." Alex hesitated briefly. He couldn't allow her to go back now; the consequences if anything happened to Maggie would be unimaginable! Maggie's eyes welled up with tears. She looked directly at him, a pleading expression in her eyes as she managed an awkward smile. "T-There's something more important." Alex hesitated for a moment. The woman in front of him had her small face stained with blood, and her hair was stuck to her face with blood and sweat, but her eyes were alert.
In that instant, without looking back, Maggie returned to the temple. Take care of him." Ethan had just settled Nathael when he witnessed this scene and felt a bit bewildered. He glanced at Alex and barked, "Are you out of your mind?" Alex cto his senses. "You take care of Mr. Harris: I'll go back with her!" Ethan checked the time; there were still three minutes. Without hesitation, he turned to follow after Maggie. Take care of Mr. Harris and get him out of here!
"Ethan!" Alex watched him go, his eyes red with bitterness. He regretted not stopping Maggie earlier. Maggie acted swiftly as she returned to the temple to look for the table. Ethan caught up, grabbing Maggie's arm and trying to pull her away. "Ms. Adam, you have to leave now; there's no time!" Tears filled Maggie's eyes as she looked at Ethan while sobbing. Just givea moment, please! You said there's still time!" Ethan checked the time. "Two minutes and twenty-five seconds."
"Just a little more time... Three minutes! Three minutes will be enough!" Maggie kneeled. among the rubble, murmuring to herself, ignoring the broken pieces of statues under her feet as she searched through the debris with her bare hands. I'll find it... I have to find it Where is it? Where could it be?
Ethan frowned, wanting to convince her again, but seeing Maggie searching frantically as if she had lost her mind, he finally fell silent and went to help her move the stones she couldn't lift. Send Gifts 70/ X
