“A banquet?” Faron fell silent. “I’ll pass on this one. I shouldn’t be showing my face at an event like
this.”

Wilbur chuckled. “Are you sure? There might be something worth seeing ”
“Something worth seeing?” Faron’s face lit up with curiosity. “I’ve got to be there, then. What banquet is
this?”
“The city business banquet. You can find out where it is for yourself,” Wilbur said, then hung up.
He gave it some thought and took his own caller card out of his personal phone before inserting it into
the phone the department had given him.
There was no way he was going to be lugging two phones around all the time.

driving back home.

“Clothes I bought for you. Surely you aren’t thinking of showing up to the banquet in a T–shirt and
jeans, are you?” Faye smiled.
Wilbur nodded, and Faye opened the suitcase. In it were a few suits, and several pairs of shoes.
Faye made Wilbur try them on one by one, taking her time to marvel at the sight before deciding on a
pale blue suit with beige loafers.
With the new clothes, Wilbur instantly looked a lot younger. Faye was more than pleased.

“You look way better like this.” Faye smiled.
Wilbur shrugged. “I still like my own clothes more. This isn’t very comfortable for me.”
“You can dress like this once in a while. There’s no harm in Faye said.

“I’m all yours. What are you talking about?” Faye rebutted swiftly, leaving Wilbur to blush awkwardly.

“Alright, then. Let’s go.”
The two of them left, and Wilbur drove off to Seecher Hotel.
The Seecher Hotel was funded by the government and was mainly used to entertain authorities while
also being open to the public.
Anyone who dined or stayed there was definitely someone of power, as regular people could not afford
to do so.
