Chapter 680 Orin had an air about him that was positively terrifying. Whitney was practically trembling in her boots as she stood before him, and so was Shane.

Even Orin Campbell had to speak respectfully to Wilbur, and someone as cocky and ruthless as Baron had been taught a fierce lesson by him.

That old man, however, was the most terrifying of them all. Even Orin Campbell seemed to be scared of him.

But this man seemed nothing but friendly and warm with Wilbur, even inviting the guy over for dinner one day.

Their brains went blank, none of them daring to imagine just how terrifyingly powerful Wilbur was.

What was going to happen to them now that they had offended someone like that? Just as everyone was worrying about their lives, Orin frowned before saying, "Whatever happened today must be kept completely private.

No one is to say a word about it, do you understand?" Who would dare to go against the words of Orin Campbell? Everyone nodded profusely.

Orin looked at Wilbur then. "It's not worth butting heads with that

guy. He's a lost cause. Even his father can't control him." 0h, don't worry about that. I don't plan on giving him any more trouble after this, but I won't be as nice if he tries anything else with me. Not even if you're there." Wilbur's words scared Whitney and her friends witless.

Who on earth was this man, daring to speak to Orin Campbell like that? Yet Orin merely sighed. "Don't go to Northseecher in the near future.

If you really need to go, pay a visit to Mister Joeman before that." "'[ will. Thank you." Wilbur smiled.

Orin nodded, finally turning to leave after that.

Just then, Whitney, Albert, Astor, Mark, Homer, and the rest were still staring at Wilbur in terror.

None of them dared to imagine just how terrifying it would be to get on this man's bad side.

Were they going to perish for that? It seemed like this man was above the law itself.

People like them were hardly worth much to people like Wilbur, and they were terrified of what their fate was going to be after this.

None of them had been nice to Wilbur in the slightest.

Everyone's fear grew at the thought, and Shane even wet himself.

Wilbur shook his head. He paid them no mind, but said to Shelby, "You can head back with the others first. Don't hang around Whitney that much in the future. She's a bad influence." Shelby, Yasmine, and Celine nodded dumbly.

Wilbur waved a hand, signaling for them to leave.

Shelby took one last glance at Whitney before leaving with Yasmine and Celine.

Too much had happened today, and Shelby was going to need some time to process it.

Shane was the first to cower the second they were gone.

He fell to his knees, bowing over and over again between sobs. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, sir! I should have never listened to Whitney! She made me do everything! Please forgive me!" Homer and the rest got down on their knees as well, begging for their lives.

Wilbur's power and status were something that had scared the wits out of them, and the only thing that mattered to them now was getting out of this alive.

Wilbur merely smirked. He hardly cared about doing anything to these idiots.

He did, however, glance coldly at Whitney before saying, "You won't get very far if all you're relying on are your looks. I hope you get your act together." Wilbur turned to leave after that, leaving Whitney and the rest stunned.

Awhile later, Shane flew to his feet and landed a harsh slap on Whitney's face.

The crisp sound of the slap resounded in the air. Whitney was dizzy from the impact, staring dumbly at Shane.

Shane glowered at her. "You f*cking bitch! I almost died today because of you!" He turned to his men after that. "Make sure all the losses here are paid for. Not a word about this goes out." His men hurried to nod. Homer and the rest fled the scene not long after. Whitney was the only person left in the hall.

Along while later, she broke down wailing in what was a mix between a sob and a scream before falling onto the ground, bursting into tears.

She regretted everything and felt utterly humiliated.

She had treated Wilbur like complete garbage, only for him to turn out to be the real person in power.
