Chapter 1372: Before everyone dispersed, Norah presented each person with a sachet emitting a fresh and elegant fragrance, intended to facilitate sleep. "Fearing the unfamiliar beds might disturb your sleep, I brought these along. They should be quite helpful," she offered.

"Norah, you're always thinking of us," Joanna responded enthusiastically. "I don't usually have trouble sleeping, but I'm sure this will enhance my rest." The others expressed their gratitude as well. Alyssa clutched her sachet, inhaling the delicate scent of lavender that she found particularly pleasing.

Earlier that evening, Norah had recounted the story of how she first met Alyssa, prompting an awkward blush from Alyssa. She regretted not having guided her friends better and nearly abusing her position to intimidate Norah.

After returning home, Alyssa had decisively cut ties with those friends. Since none were truly close to her, the decision to part ways was straightforward.

As Bryson prepared to leave, he paused beside Alyssa. "If you need anything, just call me. I'm going to rest for a bit. See you tonight." "See you tonight," Alyssa replied.

She watched as everyone retreated to their rooms, then sent Norah a message. Can we have a private chat? Upon receiving the message, Norah responded with a simple, "Okay." She then encouraged Sean to lie down on the bed. "You should rest a bit. Alyssa needs to talk to me. I'll return soon.” This vacation was a departure from their usual trips, as they didn't bring a driver. To fully savor the experience, each person drove independently. The extensive drives were wearying, and Susanna was determined that all drivers received adequate rest.

"Alright," Sean murmured as he settled in. He placed the fragrant sachet beside his pillow, and its soothing scent slowly lulled him into sleep.

After confirming Sean was asleep, Norah quietly departed. She found Alyssa waiting on the villa's third-floor balcony, which had been arranged for afternoon tea.

Sunlight poured over the space, and a light breeze stirred. The villa offered a stunning backdrop of mountains cloaked in lush greenery. Alyssa had prepared a pot of coffee and poured a cup for Norah. “Please have a seat, Norah." Once Norah was seated, Alyssa slid the cup of coffee, with steam curling from it, toward her. "I have smatters to discuss with you in private," she stated.

Norah nodded, indicating for her to proceed.

"I've been pondering our chat earlier today. Despite potential risks, I've maintained a bit of hope. Being here with you now, I feel incredibly lucky," Alyssa confessed, pausing to take a sip of her coffee. She looked thoughtful as she continued, "You might think my trust is naive, and it might well be. I tend to trust people who show no intent of harm, and that's why I give them my trust." Alyssa's trust was instinctual. When she sensed someone was safe, she would offer them her full trust.

This kind of trust was precarious. It could inflict harm if misplaced.

"Bryson has already brought up the topic of marriage. You seem to know the Andrews family well, Nerah.m Could you givesadvice about my relationship with Bryson?" Alyssa broached the subject cautiously, showing she trusted Norah before asking her question.
