Jocelyn looked at Skyler and pursed her lips tightly.
After a while, she turned around to face Yvonne. “Miss Rand, can I ask you why you wanted me for the
job? After all, we didn’t get along well during Mrs. Claude’s birthday gala!”
Yvonne stiffened after hearing what she said. She then burst out into laughter and said, “Miss White, why
would you say that? I didn’t take that to heart at all. It’s just a small problem! I was angry back then, so I

“Besides, you’re Skyler’s star employee. I really liked the jewelry that you designed for Lynn. I would love

angry at me over that incident?” Yvonne had an innocent expression plastered across her face as she
looked at Jocelyn.
Jocelyn frowned and said, “You’re overthinking, Miss Rand. I wasn’t at a disadvantage back then. I won’t
hold a grudge against you!”
Yvonne recalled how Jocelyn had poured red wine on her during the gala after hearing what she said.

Jocelyn added, “I can help you to customize a set of jewelry if you wish to, Miss Rand. However, I must

expectations, let’s terminate the contract in peace. Let’s not make things difficult for each other!” Yvonne
was infuriated, but she still forced a smile on her face and showcased her generosity in front of Skyler.

Jim watched both of them as he stood by the side. Fights between women were way too interesting!

Jim felt that he had watched enough at this point. He spoke up, “Yvonne, don’t forget that you came here
for official business. Isn’t there something that you’d like to give to Skyler?”
Yvonne immediately came to her senses and nodded. She took out an invitation letter from her handbag,
got up, and walked toward Skyler’s desk. “Skyler, it’ll be my birthday in a few days. I’ll be holding a
birthday party in the evening. Come join us!” Skyler accepted the invitation and threw it to the side
casually. “Alright, I’ll head over if I’m
free!”
Yvonne felt slightly upset when she saw how carelessly Skyler treated her invitation. Jim spoke, “It’s
lunchtime now. Let’s have lunch together. How does that sound?” Jocelyn rejected his offer at once. “I
won’t go with you guys. You guys should have lunch with President Moore!”
Jocelyn wanted to leave after speaking. However, Skyler seemed to be rather unhappy all of a sudden.
He said coldly, “I don’t feel like having lunch!” Jocelyn stopped walking. This should have nothing to do
with her, right? As soon as she walked to the office door, Yvonne grabbed her hand and said, “Hold it,
Miss White!”
Jocelyn removed her hand from her grip instinctively and frowned. “Is there anything else, Miss Rand?”

There was an unnatural expression on Skyler’s face. He cleared his throat and said, “I’ll join since you
keep asking me to!”
Jim could not resist laughing Skyler obviously agreed to join them for lunch because of Jocelyn, yet he
tried to make it sound like he was going just because they asked him to.
The four of them walked into the president’s private elevator.
As soon as Jocelyn walked out of the elevator when it stopped on the first floor, someone called after
her
“Jocelyn!”
