Married by Mistake: Mr. Whitman’s Sinner Wife chapter 2036

However, the two girls were somewhat reluctant as they looked at Fabian and lingered for a while before leaving.

The room quieted down quickly and the door with a soundproofing effect blocked all kinds of laughter and voices

outside.

Evan turned on the lights, which immediately basked the room in warm light.

Evan only then noticed the gloominess on Fabian’s, and Evan’s expression, too, turned serious.

“Fab, did something serious happen? I heard you were looking for Carter. What is your relationship with him?”

Fabian sat down on the sofa and then distraughtly picked up a clean glass, poured himself a glass of red wine, and

drank it.

“He abducted Lily.”

Evan’s eyes widened when he heard this. “… What?”

At this moment, Madeline was entering the bar from outside.

In fact, she had been following Fabian all the time.

When Fabian had been looking for Carter along the way, she followed him and finally arrived at the vicinity of the

bar.

Unfortunately, she had spent too much time looking for parking. She had seen Fabian entering this bar, but she did

not know where he was.

Knowing that Fabian would not answer her  calls, she could only find him on her own.

After Madeline had entered the bar, one after another, men flirted with her. She rejected all of them in annoyance,

and she still had to look for Fabian in the crowd, but she did not find anything.

Madeline scanned the booths, bar, and dance floor, but she still did not see Fabian. All that was left presently were

the private rooms.

Madeline could not think of another way. Although it would be very rude, she could only bite the bullet and search

one by one…

In the private room, Evan was shocked after he heard what Fabian told him.

“ It turns out that Carter and you have this kind of relationship. Could it be that you have such a strong resentment

towards Lily’s parents because Carter instigated this behind the scenes?”

Evan sighed and took a sip from his glass.

“But Fab, I know you may not like to hear this, but as your good friend and confidant, I still have to say that Jeremy

and Eveline are not to blame for the deaths of your brother and sister.”

Bang! Fabian put the wine glass in his hand heavily on the coffee table.

He looked at Evan and his eyes narrowed.

Evan thought Fabian was enraged, but he did not want to change what he just said because it was the fact.

No one was to blame for the deaths of Yorick and Lana.

Just when he thought Fabian was going to argue with him, Evan heard Fabian laughing  at himself.

“Yes, you are right. Jeremy and Eveline are not to blame for their deaths, let alone anyone else. If I must blame

someone  for that, I’d blame myself. ”

“Fab?” Surprised, Evan looked at Fabian who seemed a little drunk.

Fabian gently leaned back on the sofa, a look of exhaustion, laced with deep regret and helplessness, in his eyes.

“I knew they were handling some illegal business, but I never stopped them. I watched as they walked toward the

abyss and then to their deaths…”

Fabian closed his eyes as he blamed himself. When he opened his eyes again, his eyes were red.

“If I had been slightly more sensible, they wouldn’t have ended up like this, but I didn’t do anything.”

Fabian blamed himself in regret.

When Evan heard that, he felt slightly sad as well.

In fact, Fabian was not the one to blame too. Since he had not been fully mature at that time, so he would not have

known much. Furthermore, Yorick had not let him know that, so it could be said that he protected Fabian very well,

and because of this, Fabian was unaffected by the huge changes that came after.

Evan lifted his hand to pat Fabian on the shoulder.

“Fab, don’t think too much. How would your brother and sister blame you? They’d just hope that you stay innocent

and righteous. That’s why they hid it from you. So, you don’t need to blame yourself.”

Just as Evan comforted Fabian, the door to the room was suddenly pushed open.
