After making her decision, Lumma finally opened the new message she had received. To her surprise, it was a note

explaining a sentence she couldn’t quite grasp. Her eyes lit up as she looked at Judy. “Judy, you’re amazing! You

even know the interpretation of this ancient phrase.”

Judy instinctively glanced at Adam, catching his subtle hint. She had to take credit for herself. “Oh, I happened to

have read this book.”

“Well, could you explain the meaning of this sentence to me?” Lumma leaned closer to Judy, pointing at the

sentence in the book that she struggled to comprehend. “I find it difficult to fully grasp the essence of this ancient

text.”

“Well…” Judy scratched her head anxiously. Not only did she struggle to understand the sentence, but she also

couldn’t recognize seven out of the eight ancient characters.

Luckily, Judy reacted quickly. “Lumma, when I read this before, Adam tutored me. Adam knows. this book really

well. Why don’t you have him explain it?”

“Mr. Hills?” Lunma shook her head repeatedly. “Forget it.”

Lumma firmly believed that Adam, being the head of Hills Group, wouldn’t waste his time explaining things to her, a

mere assistant. If she dared to approach Adam and he showed disinterest, it would be an embarrassing situation

for her.

“Are you talking about me?” Adam suddenly spoke up, startling Lumma. She turned to find Adam sitting nearby,

flipping through a book-a historical tome that Lumma particularly enjoyed.

Lumma chuckled awkwardly. “Mr. Hills, you’re here too.”

Adam gazed at her. “Didn’t you realize I had arrived?”

“Apologies, I was completely engrossed in my reading and failed to notice,” Lumma replied.

Adam’s expression darkened slightly, and he turned his attention to Judy. “Have you forgotten what I taught you?”

Judy hesitated.

When did Adam teach her anything?

She had merely made a careless remark. Surely Adam didn’t take it seriously, right?

Adam maintained a serious demeanor as he looked at Judy. “Come on, tell me, what did you forget?”

Judy hadn’t even read that book. “Adam, I haven’t actually read it at all…” Before she could finish her sentence, she

caught Adam’s stern gaze and swiftly corrected herself. “Adam, I’ve forgotten everything you taught me.”

“Take a seat, and I’ll teach you once more,” Adam said.
