Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 82

Lumma threw herself into Maria’s arms and lightly rubbed against her. “Grandma, I won’t cry for those worthless

things. If anyone’s going to cry, it’s going to be them.”

sees Lamma has really grown up.” Maria gently patted her back. “Lumma, can you help me sell the house? We’ll go

to Red Pine City and never come back to this

godforsaken place again.”

“But grandma…” Lumma looked up at Maria. This was where Maria was born and worked. This was her home

Selling the house would mean cutting off Maria’s only route…..

“In my heart, nothing is more important than you, Lumma. Wherever you are, that’s my home.” Maria rubbed her

head.

Lumma thought the same. Wherever Maria was, that was her home.

But the house must not be sold. Lumma had to leave Maria a way out.

The next day, Lumma and Maria boarded the plane to Red Pine City.

Harry and Ruby came to the airport to pick them up.

Harry felt sorry for Worm. “This girl is too strong. She bears everything herself, and when we want to help, she

won’t let us.”

They were afraid that Lumma would be bullied again in Soothy City and planned to go back with her. Lumma

insisted that they stay behind.

“She deserves it!” Ruby gritted her teeth, but tears welled up in her eyes. “Maria has come to Red Pine City, and

Lumma’s sc*mbag husband’s divorce will definitely be exposed. I wonder how she’ll deal with it then.”

Harry glared at her. “You’ve been angry for a few days. Aren’t you over it yet?”

“A few days? Not enough. I’ll be mad for a month.” Ruby was still talking when Lumma pushed Maria out, and she

immediately went over to help.

Harry followed suit, taking on the task of pushing the wheelchair. “Maria, it’s been a long time. Welcome to Red Pine

City…”

“Hello, Harry and Ruby.” Maria greeted them but searched around. Even though she didn’t say it, everyone knew

she was looking for her grandson-in-law, Lucas.

“Maria, is this your first time in Red Pine City? When you’re feeling better, we’ll take you out to see the sights.”

Harry pushed Maria out, trying to distract her.

Lumma and Ruby carried their luggage behind. Ruby pinched Lumma hard. “You stubborn girl. You know Soothy

City is dangerous for you, but you won’t let us go with you. What if you get bullied again?”

Ruby exerted force, causing Lumma to feel a pinch. She cried out in pain and dodged while saying, “I’m sorry, I

won’t do it again.”

After attending the Marple family’s wedding anniversary in Hanton City and returning to Red Pine City, Adam was

riding in a luxurious car passing through the front lane when he looked up and saw a familiar, slender figure.

Lumma was wearing a black coat today, and her hair, which she usually tied up in a bun,

was let down and draped over her shoulders in a lazy yet s***y manner. Her voice was sweet and soft, quite

different from her usual composed and dignified tone at work.

Adam had no idea that his assistant had such a tender and lovely side.

“Mr. Hills, isn’t that Lumma?” Leonard also noticed Lumma and waved at her with a smile. “What a coincidence to

run into you here, Lumma!”

Hearing her name being called, Lumma looked up and saw Leonard and Adam’s car. She had to approach them to

say hello.

Adam gazed as Lumma approached him. She drew nearer and nearer, and he could see her more clearly. As she

got closer, he noticed the weariness etched on her face.

He had intended to ask if she was feeling unwell, but before he could say anything, she greeted him. “Hello, Mr.

Hills! Hello, Mr. Davies!””

Her voice had regained its usual professional tone without a trace of the softness from earlier.

Adam nodded and averted his gaze.
