Chapter 1376 It was already late at night when Sylvia left the hospital.

Although the town was remote, there were many people on the streets of the famous tourist city. Her residence

was also very close to the hospital. She arrived at the hotel after passing through two traffic lights.

She unlocked the door of the room, downed the medicine prescribed by the doctor with hot water, wrapped herself

in a quilt on the bed, and fell asleep.

It was already the next morning when she opened her eyes again.

Sylvia took her temperature. 38.9 degrees Celsius. It was one degree lower than yesterday, but she still had a

fever, so she had to go to the hospital. After a simple meal, she went to the hospital alone again.

There were many people in the outpatient department waiting for an IV drip, and Sylvia waited in line for a while. It

was almost 3 in the afternoon before she finished three drips. Although she had no appetite , her stomach growled

at her.

She was pale and walked along the side of the road, feeling lethargic. Then, she entered a restaurant serving light

cuisine as she passed by.

At the same time, a luxury car from the airport passed by this restaurant, went through two traffic lights, and

stopped outside a hotel.

The driver quickly got out of the car and opened the back seat door. “We‘ve arrived at the hotel, sir.”

Odell nodded , got out of the car, and went straight into the hotel. His figure was tall and straight, and his

handsome face and temperament made him stand out from the people around him.

The lobby manager of the hotel immediately greeted him and asked, “Would you like to check into the hotel, sir?”

“I‘m looking for someone.” Odell went straight to the front desk.

The manager quickly asked him, “Who are you looking for?”

“A woman called Sylvia Ross. She‘s my wife.” While speaking , he took out his phone and opened the photo album.

The first picture in the album was his marriage license with Sylvia.

The manager looked at it and said to the receptionist,“ Check to see if this person is here.”

The receptionist was very quick and soon said to Odell, “I found her. Ms. Ross is staying in Room 6116, but I saw her

go out alone this morning. She doesn‘t seem to have returned yet.”

Odell‘s eyes flickered. “She went out alone this morning?”

“Yes.”

“What about the two people traveling with her?”

The staff said in confusion , “I remember that Ms. Ross was alone when she checked in yesterday. There was no one

around her.”

Odell‘s face turned cold. “She just checked in here yesterday?”

“Yes.” The staff was aware that Odell‘s expression was off and said in a small voice, “Would you like to call Ms. Ross

and ask her?”

Odell‘s expression was icy. “No need. I‘ll wait for her here.”

Yesterday, she told the children that her colleague was ill and that she could not come back. Now, it seemed that

her colleague was not with her at all. He wanted to see just what she was doing here which delayed her return

home for so long!

It was long after mealtime. When Sylvia arrived at the restaurant, the owner and the chef were both resting, hence

only some leftovers remained.

Sylvia went to a few other restaurants before eventually settling on a quick meal. She carried the takeout and

walked back to the hotel.

Her room was on the sixth floor. She held her key card and went directly into the elevator on the right.

Soon, the elevator stopped. She got out and walked along a long corridor to her room. After a few steps, she saw a

tall and familiar figure.

The figure leaned against the wall ten meters away from her room.

She did not get a good look at his face, but his body shape and the cold aura around him were way too similar to

that of the man at home. What was he doing here?
