He looked at Caprice and then asked Sherry with a smile, ” Sis, who’s this little angel?”
Listening to the praise her daughter received, Sherry answered with a slight delight, “She’s my baby daughter.”
Carl’s expression was slightly disheartened.
John, who came into the room in a timely manner, noticed the slight change on Carl’s face, and his lips curled up.
Carl immediately smiled and said, “My, my, that explains why the angel looks so cute.”
Sherry chuckled. Her daughter was probably the prettiest girl on planet Earth.
She then said to Caprice, “Caprice, this is Uncle Sager. He’s my friend.”
Caprice widened her eyes blankly at Carl. “Hi, Uncle Sager.”
The girl’s adorable voice struck Carl’s heart like Cupid’s arrow. He smiled brightly and said, “Hello, Caprice.”
It was then that the owner of the restaurant came over
and saw them talking. The owner asked in surprised delight, “Master Stockton, you know each other?”
John hummed a reply.

Before John could speak, Sherry immediately said, Together. Can you get us another table by the side?”
Her table with Carl was already filled with alcoholic beverages and was no place for a young girl to have a
meal.
Then, she carried the girl to the table of four.
Carl looked at John and said, “Don’t mind us, Master
Stockton.”
John smiled profoundly. “Please make yourself at home, Young Master Sager.”
Carl chuckled and then sat opposite Sherry.
John had one quick glance at him before he sat down beside Sherry.
The waiter served a set meal for Caprice and even brought
a baby chair over.
Sherry did not want to let go of Caprice though. She simply carried the girl in her arms and fed her.
The girl took her time chewing. It took her four to five rounds of chewing to finish a single spoon of food as if she
was a baby chick nibbling on grains. It was adorable.
Sherry patiently fed her.
The girl ate slowly but was not a picky eater. She ate whatever her mother fed her, hence it was less
troublesome.
John watched as Sherry fed the girl skillfully, and the girl seemed to be enjoying it, so he picked up his cutlery and
started eating.
Carl watched as Sherry fed and Caprice ate, he then had a glance at John.
John noticed Carl’s glance when he took the first bite,
he looked back at him. His clean and handsome face
looked humble, but his eyes were sharp.

Carl’s eyes flickered nervously and then curled his lips
into a smile. “Master Stockton, I’ve been in Glenchester for a few days now, and I still didn’t get the chance to pay
you a visit. Who knew we would run into each other here?
I believe it’s fate wanting us to meet.”

“Here, a toast to fate.” Carl raised his glass into the air.
John did the same but raised his glass slightly higher. A clear clink later, both of them simply took a sip.
Carl put his glass down and continued, “I didn’t know my good sister here has a history with you and also a
daughter. No wonder she insisted on starting a project here at Glenchester.”
John’s eyes flickered and looked at Sherry.
Sherry was just beside them, and it was impossible for her to not hear their conversation. She glared at Carl,
signaling him to shut his mouth.
Carl simply played dumb and asked, “Sis, what are you looking at me for? Did I say something wrong?”
Sherry continued to glare at him, but he averted her gaze by looking down and started eating.
After dealing with Carl, Sherry continued feeding Caprice.
John captured their little interaction with his sharp eyes, and his expression was slightly disheartened. He asked,

Young Master Sager, I didn’t see you at the meetings in the past few days. You came to Glenchester for vacation?”
Carl was slightly stunned. He feigned a smile and said, ” Yeah. Glenchester is well–known for its tourism, that’s why
I’m attracted, but I actually came here because of my good sister.”
