Caprice came down from her father’s embrace and ran towards her mother on stage.
Lisa, Ron, and the others moved aside with complicated looks on their faces, paving the way for the girl.
The girl ran forward like a duck waddling. She reached the stage, but the stage was too high for her to climb up.
She didn’t see the stairs on the sides, so she simply called her mother with her hands waving in a flurry.
“Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!”
Sherry could no longer remain still. She jumped off the stage and carried the girl into her arms.
John’s expression softened when he saw Sherry carry the girl into her arms. He then smiled at Lisa and said, “Mrs.
Sager, it’s an honor to meet you. I’ve heard so much about you.
Lisa quickly recovered her composure and forced a stiff smile on her face. “The honor is mine. I’ve
heard a lot about you too. Master Stockton, you’re a lot younger than I expected, and you are a good-looking man.”
“You are too kind, Mrs. Sager I came here to congratulate Young Master Carl,” John said with a smile. He then
looked at Ron, Aiden, and Caden.
Aiden and Caden averted their gazes out of guilt.
John then said, “I have to thank Young Master Aiden and Young Master Caden for informing me that Young Master
Carl is getting engaged to my ex-wife, or else I wouldn’t even have known about this.”

Ron was aware of the situation getting out of hand. He forced a smile on his face and said, ” Master Stockton, I’m
their father, Ron Wright, the Deputy CEO of the company. My sons are a little straightforward. If they’ve said
anything that has offended you, I apologize on their behalf.”
“No, no, Mr Wright. Your sons didn’t offend me at all” John then turned to Lisa. “Mrs. Sagers, the ceremony is still
ongoing right?”
Lisa’s expression froze. “It is..”
John continued, “I’ve prepared a present for Young Master Carl and my ex-wife. I want to give it to them myself. Is
that okay?”
Lisa was left speechless. There was no way she would deny his request since he took the initiative to do so. She
gulped and said, “S-sure”
