Work got extra busy with an urgent case and some meetings.
Sherry worked tirelessly for hours before settling them. She ran to the toilet to release herself after holding it in for
hours. She sighed a breath of relief as soon as she sat down on the toilet.
When she was done and wanted to head out, she heard some women talking outside.
“Did you hear about this morning?”
“Ada and Carl?”
“Yeah.”
“Of course. We were there.”
“I’m talking about Ms. Fowler.”

“She was. She was there with us for a while. She only left when she got made. Ada even shouted at her, but she
ignored her.”
“Ada was throwing a tantrum, but Ms. Fowler didn’t even say a word? Does it mean she has no feelings for Young
Master Carl?”
“If she has no feelings for Young Master Carl, why would she have agreed to the engagement?”
“That didn’t happen, did it?”
“That’s because her ex-husband brought her daughter to crash the ceremony. I really believe she has feelings for
Young Master Carl.”
“If it’s true, then why didn’t she say anything when Ada was causing that fiasco earlier?”
The women were baffled as they continued the gossip.
Then, one of them said, “I think she’s trying to get both of them, Young Master Carl and her ex-
husband.”
“Really? I’m impressed if it’s true.”
“The richest man in Glenchester and the future owner of the Sagers. Ms. Fowler is indeed impressive to have both
men under her charms.”

Sherry opened the door all of a sudden.
The gossiping women were immediately silenced and startled. They quickly fled the toilet in
embarrassment
Sherry frowned She washed her hands and returned to her office. She knew the women simply wanted to gossip,
but it was irritating nonetheless,

Meanwhile back at Sherry’s place. Caprice got new toys from Aunt Wanda and was playing with them happily.
John was at the dining table with his laptop. He used the place as his desk and was holding a remote meeting.
The meeting ended swiftly. He closed his laptop and called Peter back at Glenchester.
After assigning Peter some tasks, he hung up. He was done with work for the day.
He looked at his watch. It was four o’clock in the evening, two more hours before Sherry came. back. He looked
outside the window. It was a sunny day and it probably would not rain any more. He wondered if she could come
home on time tonight.
